Let's Be Friends
Hiya. Scottish lady here. I'm 41 which seems ridiculously old but I feel the same inside as I've always done, I just know how to work a washing machine now.
Reading is my main passion in life but it's a solitary pastime. I'm an introvert currently unable to work due to crippling anxiety and OCD. I'm an optimist by necessity.
I like people who enjoy reading, writing, quizzing, swearing and not taking themselves too seriously. I'm not a fan of Dr Who unlike most people on here, but I don't mind if you do. However, if you post endless fanfic we probably wont have a lot to talk about.

And yeah, my sense of humour is down about that level too!
Some Dean Koontz stuff scares the hell out of me - Hideaway, for instance, just freaks me out. Have you read the Odd Thomas books?

The Husband and Intensity are the only Koontz books I've read. I've read quite a lot of Stephen King (though it feels like I've only just scratched the surface, the man is a machine) and thought I'd try some Koontz as he seems to be in a similar vein. I've not heard of the Odd Thomas books, I'll check them out.
I've gotten into audiobooks lately as I like to have something to listen to when I'm crocheting which I started this year and LOVE. I've been working my way through the audiobooks on youtube because free. It's nice to step out of your literary comfort zone and I've listened to a few books I might not have picked up otherwise and managed to finally get through Anna Karenina.

I have a few audiobooks, but I only really get to listen to them when I'm out walking. Which I do a lot less regularly these days (Thanks, new job).
