Yet another LJ'er who's switching over.

I'm 28. I have one more credit before I graduate with an Associate's degree in biological sciences. I love to read (some of my favorites: Caitlin R Kiernan, Poppy Z Brite, Christa Faust, Kurt Vonnegut, Hubert Selby). I love spiders, but I'm still quite afraid of them (I've been fighting arachnophobia my entire life). I have anxiety disorder but have been making an incredible amount of progress in the last 8 months or so (therapist-free). I am a huge Lucifer Valentine fan (the writer/director of the "vomit gore trilogy") and an emetophile. I love music and listen to it every day (some of my favorite bands: Avenged Sevenfold, Rammstein, VNV Nation, Velvet Acid Christ, Breaking Benjamin).

So... That's all I can think of at the moment. Feel free to add me if you like. :)

LJ refugee.

Not a whole lot to tell, really. I'm a 23 year old post-grad, and I still identify as an English major (writing emphasis, anthropology minor), even though I've since done a stint in the retail world and currently do admin work for a ministry in my area. I am a Christian, but I don't expect anyone else to follow me there unless it is a choice they've also made. I talk about that, sometimes, and also about the struggles and questions I have.

This season in my life is being defined by authenticity and honesty. It has a lot to do with my relationship with God, but also my relationships with people in my life, online or off.

Beyond that, I'm a self proclaimed five year old. I am easily entertained, have a deep, deep appreciation for the little things in life. Coming back from a walk on the beach yesterday, my pocket was full of seaglass and smooth stones, and it made me absurdly happy. This is not unusual in the least. Other loves of mine include old things and antiques, people and places with a story, water and wind, dreams, and all number of things beyond. I'm also extremely fond of community, poems by Rilke, and tea.

Very, very fond of tea. >.>

And books. It's kind of a problem.

So that's me, in a nut shell. I don't write as much as I used to, but I'm working on that. I hold intelligent, well-rounded conversation with high regard, and love having an flist that reflects that. I'm always looking for more friends, though, so feel free to stop by!

I'm fairly new here, i joined a little while back but had difficulty navigating. Sure sign of being a newb. I'm still at lj for a couple of friends, mainly one from high school that won't leave the site and i'm at ij mostly for rping purposes. I'm into gaming, I refuse to buy WoW because I think its stupid to buy something just to continue to pay for it. I love the sims series, right now i am up to date on the sims 3. i like comedies, cats and cooking. But not laughing while cats are cooking that would be odd. I have a bizarre sense of humor. I'm from Ohio and I am enrolled in online classes. I have odd beliefs and I would love to meet some more people that believe in the paranormal and past lives. i'll pretty much add anyone unless you give me a creepy stalker vibe. I love friends.
