Second time on Dreamwidth, looking to reengage with the internet I knew 20 years ago

Hello, I actually had a dreamwidth account previously, and I used Livejournal for a long time. I am trying to shift away from the worst parts of social media, and so I am looking to see if this is the place for me!

Name: Matthew

Age: Mid-40s

I mostly post about: Life and travel. I live in Costa Rica.

My hobbies are: Traveling, both in natural spaces and social spaces. I like trains and buses, but I don't have a high technical interest in them.

My fandoms are: There are some media that I like, and might talk about. At one point, I had watched all of Doctor Who! So I can talk about a lot of the more popular fandoms, but not my focus.

I'm looking to meet people who: Talking intelligently about every day life.

My posting schedule tends to be: I am not sure yet.

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: TBH, if you are reading this, you probably don't qualify. Obviously bigoted people are not cool. But I get the feeling that isn't a big worry here. I have political opinions, but I am not looking to be very strident here.

Before adding me, you should know: I think we are pretty cool! No big secrets here.

I don't mind if you don't subscribe to me back - I'm significantly younger than you (early 20s) and we don't share a lot of interests... but as someone who loves languages and is studying Spanish, I am curious about you and your life. I don't plan to have anything particular private or scandalous on my journal, so not planning on locking anything. To be honest, it will probably be full of random jottings about daily life "bought ice cream today".
Actually, that is a pretty good idea.

I have no particular questions about Costa Rica; I'm just interested in what daily life there is like. Even if your life isn't super incredibly amazing and an adventure every day, I like to see that around the globe life and humanity aren't (that) different.
