I mostly post about: Mostly life updates as of now, but I'll surely be expanding to talking about books I'm reading, podcasts I'm listening to, etc.

My hobbies are: Youtube video essays, listening to music, reading, writing, learning more about the world.

My fandoms are: In the arena of fiction I am most reliably grabbed by anything that explores the characters' identity with regard to what is happening in the plot. Self-discovery and growth are real selling points for me. Also, for some reason, if it's sci-fi or fantasy I'm way more likely to care about it. Examples: LotR, Star Trek, Russian Doll, Pixar movies, Stephen King's The Stand, The Neverending Story, Inception, The Prestige, Stranger Things, Death Note, The Good Place. I also like true crime, history podcasts, and video essays on society, culture, LGBTQ issues, and politics.

I'm looking to meet people who: Are curious about the world & are interested in discussing what life is all about.

My posting schedule tends to be: It's currently sporadic but may move toward daily over time.

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Tone-policing of others in their own journal, people who have extensive DNIs, people who start arguments out of simple discussions.

Before adding me, you should know: I am a survivor of an evangelical cult and of childhood bullying. Also, I'm the parent of 6 kids and have an unconventional marriage.
