Name: Cassie
Age:/42
I mostly post about: books - generally not book reviews, but talking about the books I'm reading, squeeing over them, themed lists, book memes/surveys (Top Ten Tuesday, Book Blogger Hop, that kind of thing), sharing bookish stats, musings on genres. And a lot of death by TBR
Basically, I love to read and I love to talk about books.
My hobbies are: shockingly, reading. And collecting books which is absolutely a different hobby.
I've nearly always got music on (I'm currently in my Swiftie Era), and when I don't have my nose in a book, I enjoy cozy gaming and try to watch far too many TV shows. I sometimes write fanfiction too.
My fandoms are:Stargate SG-1 is pretty much the only real fandom I'm but other than when I read the terrible books, it probably won't get posted about here because this is my bookish side-blog. (my main blog is
badfalcon)
Bookwise, I read pretty much anything except high fantasy/the heroes journey and I've never tried a western (but never say never).
When asked what type of book I like, my general answer is a very facetious 'ones with words in them'.
My favourite genres are urban fantasy, chick-lit, science-fiction, history, historical, popular science and horror. I've been on a huge memoir kick this year.
If you ask me my favourite book, I will likely freeze in terror because... HAH!
My favourite authors include Poppy Z Brite, Anne Rice, Stephen King, Ali McNamara, Christie Barlow, Dan Jones, Andrea Penrose, Nancy Warren, Bill Bryson and Matthew Reilly
I'm looking to meet people who: enjoy books, and talking about them. We don't even have to enjoy the same kinds of books, just the love for them and sharing that love.
My posting schedule tends to be: I aim for three or four times a week but sometimes life runs away from me and I realise it's been weeks since I've posted
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: This can best be summed up in the immortal words of Wil Wheaton 'don't be a dick'
Before adding me, you should know: I am non-binary, queer, autistic, adhd, agoraphobic, depressed, disabled and very stubborn. My pronouns are they/them. I'm a huge geek and will fangirl excitedly at the drop of a hat over many things.
