hello, new friends! ♥
Name: Sonya
Age: 33
Location: Maine, U.S.A.
Introduction: Hello, friends! I created this account originally when I thought LiveJournal may go dark due to the war, but I couldn't get into it. I tried a second time a few months ago, and again, it just didn't feel right. I suppose it correlates with my inability to stomach change well. However, I'm here and ready to stay! Please, if you tried to add me previously and felt I just immediately ghosted, feel free to add me again. I promise I'm going to give this a honest try. I even paid for this account. I'm not as flakey as I sound, I just... Change is hard for me.
That all being said, if you have any tips and tricks to help with the transition, please let me know. I'm still figuring out the difference between subscribe and access lists. I also want to customize my layout to more accurately reflect me and who I am.
Posting Style: I use online journaling as a way to connect with others with similar mindsets & interests while also documenting the moments in my life, no matter how large or small. My day-to-day life consists of my hobbies with some work-related rants here and there. There's a quote by Louisa May Alcott that I love, "Preserve your memories, keep them well, what you forget you can never retell."
I try to post daily, but at least every other day. I don't expect my friends to always have something to say and therefore do not expect interactions on every single post due to how often I post. I do read and comment my friends pages just as often.
My hobbies are: abandoned buildings, camping, dog training, disc golf, gardening, hiking, homesteading, nature walks, paranormal, photography, reading, travel, and video games (presently playing:animal crossing, diablo 4, pokemon go but also enjoy: spyro, ratchet & clank, sea of thieves, world of warcraft).

I'm looking to meet people who: are looking to make geniune connections. We don't need to have everything in common, but I do ask that if you do add me, that you're not a conservative bigot that spews more hate than love.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: negative people that don't at least try to make positive changes in their life.
Before adding me, you should know: About 80% of my posts typically come with a photo (or five), but I do try to write more than I show.

Re: Zug Zug
I'll be sure to check Sylvanas out, too!
Oh, I just love Cas. He's probably one of my favorite characters. I can't wait to see that scene! Aahaahha!
Re: Zug Zug
YES. What's your favorite story arc?
Which other ones do you want to get?
Did you get it?
Pssh. You're good enough. Don't ever doubt that.
What I will say - this is coming from previous experience and from love - its all about the prep: making sure you have the right potions/food/enchants on your gear, decent gear, studying the boss fights. If you're good for running Mythics, then raiding's kind of the next steps.
If you have questions, I'll do my best to answer them. I'm big into Icy Veins and WoWhead for information, ZYGOR has some wonderful guides for pretty much anything you want to do (which is nice that it's in-game).
Let me know what you think!
OOH. You're in for a treat :D
Re: Zug Zug
I really, really want to go through the steps to try and obtain the Lucid Nightmare Mount. I'm not even sure if it's still available, but I remember having that one bookmarked as one I want the next time I play.
Okay. All this talk is giving me the itch again. I may have to activate my account sooner rather than later. LOL. The problem with having so many time consuming hobbies is the rotation of them.
You're absolutely right. I really just need to refer to sites like those. I use Icy Veins a lot. I've never heard of ZYGOR, but I'll bookmark it. Thank you!
Re: Zug Zug
(Question - did you mean Duskwood?) I loved those storylines too! They were epic to run through.
This! Especially after all that happened in Theramore.
SAAAAAME. It was difficult to get around in that area when it was current content and its not served a single thing since. (However intriguing with Queen Azshara and the Old Gods connection.)
There's a guide on how to obtain the Lucid Nightmare, so I think its still doable. I know that's one of the mounts I'm eyeballing myself. (Invincible still evades me, so there's that too.)
HAHA. I feel you on that. You're more than welcome to add me on battle.net if you're interested!
I swear by Icy Veins (as well as WoWhead) for a lot of class-related play, but I've also checked out Method's webpage too for rotation and the like. They're newer to me so I'm not as familiar with their stuff.
Re: Zug Zug
I would much rather absorb the storyline through a book or movie than ever go through Nazjatar ever again. Thankfully that area isn't really needed any more and I can easily avoid it.
I wish I could activate now. I only have about two weeks of available time to play before we migrate into our busy season as work. As soon as Back to School season is over, I'm certainly activating. I haven't switched over to the new authenticator (I believe I saw somewhere that Microsoft is switching) so I may try and get in to update that. This wouldn't be the first time I got locked out of my account and had to e-mail Blizzard a copy of my ID. :P I will certainly be adding you once I'm on. It sounds like we could have a ton of fun!
Oh wow. Thank you for sharing. I clicked the link and see there are a few new things that I'll likely want to read up before I get back in there.
Re: Zug Zug
Fair enough. I don't recall Tol Barad very well, it wasn't one of the areas I actively played in. (But I'm not really a PvPer so that also may be why.)
I think this has happened to the best of us, haha.
Same. I think there are stories that are free to read on WoW's official website. I know I learned about the marriage between Lor'themar and First Arcanist Thalyssra that way. (Which was a total WTF moment because I legit wanted to see that in game!) The elves are still my favorite race in the game so I nerded out on that one.
No rush! I'm big into focusing on real life stuff before playing the game, so I feel ya. I've got the digital authenticator from Blizzard, haven't heard about a Microsoft one. I also agree- wouldn't be the first time I've had to email Blizzard for the same reason, lol. (I stopped playing mid-2013 because of life reasons, only to return in late 2016 and had to jump through hoops of fire to get my account back.)
Oh absolutely! I can't wait :)
Not a problem! There's a ton of WoW secrets, I'm on the discord for them. I love figuring out this stuff.
Re: Zug Zug
I never thought to check the website for additional stories. I'll be sure to check that out, too!
That's one thing I should do, join more discords! Even when I'm not playing, it's still nice to follow along with events and happenings. You never know what you don't know until people point it out!
Re: Zug Zug
I'm not surprised. They have quests for everything, lol.
Their library should be decently sized by now. I'll have to go back and check to see which ones they've got there.
Also true! There's a discord for everything these days. ("YOU get a discord server! And you get a discord server!" lol)
