AGE: Twenty-something
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Mostly LEARNING, CREATING, NATURE, and FOOD (I do a lot of cooking and baking when I have the time and resources). Also witchcraft and vulture culture, science and social science, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, spirituality, and anything to do with camping or farming.
FANDOMS? I was a Potterhead as a kid, loved Supernatural until the end of Season 5, and have been desperately trying to catch up on Vikings and Game of Thrones. I'm also into cartoons like Hilda, Steven Universe, and the new She-Ra.
LOOKING FOR: people with similar interests, slice-of-life journals, maybe some recipe swapping or a new snail-mail pen pal?
ANYTHING ELSE?: I'm new to DW so bear with me as I learn the ropes. I don't go heavy into fandom stuff, but I might nerd out about school or talk about parenting because I do have a 3-year-old daughter. Basically, I'm more of a slice-of-life slash poetry journaler than anything else.

But I still want to figure out the secrets here about how they do it!
I'm up to a ratio of 1 tablespoon/quarter cup of liquid. It's really firm and I'm afraid of adding more because the process for mixing half the liquid is already really thick and oatmealy.
I realized that adding acid to the gummies also gives it more zing, and now I'm afraid it's overcoming the subtler flavors.
I'm sure I'm drama queening this entire experience, which is why I feel even worse about it, hah! But at least I sent out the second attempts along with some store packaged stuff as a subtle apology if they're disappointing.
I will say this though: I'm going to invest in Sodastream stuff more than ever since I know I can make a proper soda gummy now (give or take the awful texture >_<). If I get smart enough with the timing, maybe I'll get a syringe and inject un-mixed syrup into the center if I get smart enough about it.
On the bright side, I think even if I do a 2 tablespoon to 1 cup ratio, I can probably dry them out enough and get a smoother product with less chew, which might be a good thing.
Oh, maybe I can do maple gummies too as a replacement syrup? Yeesh, those are going to be expensive to make though (says the guy who is buying soda syrup for cheap candies).
I doubt you expected this rant about me nerding out with my results, so I'll just stop here and say "thank you and hope you keep enjoying my neurotic misadventures (and vica-versa)!"
