INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Reading, cross-stitch, patchwork and quilting (I'm a beginner), board games, apparently getting a little bit obsessed with primulas. Yes, the flowers.
LOOKING FOR: Similar interests. Completely different interests. I'm not a fandom person myself (any longer), but don't let that stop you if you are. Minimal politics, minimal religion, though.
ANYTHING ELSE?: Comments. I comment if and when I have something to say, so if receiving lots of comments is important to you, we are probably not a good match. Likewise, I would much rather have one meaningful comment than ten comments just for the sake of commenting. I do try to reply to every comment I receive, though frequently it takes a little time.

I quilt (have done for 20+ years) and keep trying to pick cross-stitch back up. We seem to have a few other things in common, so heck why not. :-)

Hello there. :) We seem to have a few flisters (circlers? Encirclees? Additions?) in common as well. :)

I'm fairly new at the whole sewing business. Husband gave me half the price of a sewing machine for Christmas year before last, so it still feels brand-new to me. I started out with a sofa quilt because I tend to be ambitious that way with new things, and it definitely shows that I didn't really know what I was doing a lot of the time. Still, I'm ridiculously proud of it. :D

That's the best way to learn! Just dive in and see what happens. I don't know if you are on craftsy, but it has a ton of good resources for learning to sew and quilt.

Doesn't help that I went a little untraditional and didn't discover the concept of 'blocks' until afterwards. I just drew something I liked myself. :) It was a pretty simple pattern, though, sort of like bricks in a house. It mainly took a lot of time because I'd finish a step and then spend a long time gathering courage for the next one. :)

I like board games too. In fact, I was in a board games club at one point.

I post about Lego, thrifting/antiquing, costume things, my 3 cats, some depressing things, regular life things...Add?

Husband and I only just started doing it last year. For a long time I was kind of interested but for some reason had got it in my head that he wasn't so I never bothered to suggest it. Turns out he didn't think I was interested, so... But last year we started having a look at it. We like two player games, but we also have a couple of cooperative ones, and try to have a game of something or other on a Sunday afternoon with our coffee. Most weeks we manage it. :)

Do you guys have a favorite game?

Right now my favourite is Potion Explosion, but the fact that it's new has a lot to do with that, probably. We've only tried it twice. Also, I can (still) beat him at it. :p Other than that I'd have to say RoboRally tied with Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small.

Hmmm. I should look into those. I'm addicted to Qwirkle. <3 I like Settlers of Catan, but I never have enough people to play.
