Hey everyone!
I'm a 35 year old stay at home momma to a very-fast-growing 2 and a half year old. Because I stay home and such, I don't have anyone else to talk to. I find that when you have a big change in your life, you find out who your real friends are.

Quick randomness about me.

Lived in Arizona my entire life.
Disabled, born with Cerebral Palsy(more info on my page)

Where my interests lie:

*I like to read--- total bookaholic here. Don't like sci-fi or freaky horror stuff though
* Like to write poetry and short stories. However, I am my worst critic.
*Netflix geek

I'm really not interested in those who have fandom obsessions anymore. However, I am guilty of writing x-files fanfic when it was on the air. Gosh, I'm old!

I'm from Tucson and my mom's side of the family is still there, though I live in MD.

I don't do fandomy much, but I'm into renaissance fairs and costumes.

I also love books--I work in a library. I'm a romance reader particularly.

I have had the point driven home by having a kiddo. I'm fairly late in life to be beginning a family, and it turns out that most of my friends were childfree. Friends?

I think having a life changing event, like having a kid shows you who your friends really are. I used to work in daycare, too, so it's not like my friends didn't "like" children. It's just we weren't really good friends to begin with, either. Yes, friends.

You're not the only one who is a "late bloomer" either. ;)

I did have a book with me, but I spent that layover people-watching and looking out the window at the unusual land - unusual to me as I'd never seen desert before. I also slept for a couple of hours, and then whoosh, we were on the plane and headed for Vegas!

oh, people-watching is interesting.There are quite some pretty views of mountains near the airport. :) In outside towns like Queen Creek and Apache Junction it is very evident you are in the desert. Vegas baby!!

My brother and his family just got back from a visit to the desert in Nevada. My brother is a keen birdwatcher, and the trip was built around viewing sites for desert bird life. Most of their vacations focus on birds! I've never been to a desert; it's on my bucket list!

Yes I have. I have spent many Christmases in Apache Junction just outside of Phoenix. And I have travelled north to Flagstaff once while I was down. A lot of Canadians snow bird in Arizona during the winter months, my mother-in-law included.

I didn't know Canadians snow-birded in Flagstaff. Been to AJ, too. Family friends live out there, but I live smack dab middle of the state. Hubby and I do like to go up north to the city of Pinetop every year for our vacation/anniversary.

Oh sorry, she does not snowbird in Flagstaff. I just spent a weekend there with my wife while we were visiting her in Apache Junction.
