I mostly post about:
Books I've read and which I want to appreciate/understand better (if you want a sense of the type of books I write about, here are the last five books I read: Yanis Varoufakis' Technofeudalism, Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Maureen McLane's What I'm Looking for: Selected Poems 2005-2017, Tracy K. Smith's Eternity: Selected Poems, and Didier Eribon's Returning to Reims)
Life stuff (teaching, living abroad [currently in Eastern Europe after living and working in China for a few years], trying to make friends, trying to understand/express my thoughts and feelings more clearly)
Thinky stuff (often about gender [my own, and in general], social/cultural/political phenomena I'm concerned about, etc.)
My hobbies are: Reading, writing (mostly poetry these days), making little comics, studying tarot, walking and exploring, listening to podcasts, cooking and eating vegetarian and vegan food.
My fandoms are: NA
I'm looking to meet people who: Are introspective, curious, fairly down to earth, and interested in exchanging comments once in a while. I'm especially interested in people who are from, or currently living in, countries besides the U.S. Also especially interested in reading journals about experiences/perspectives that are very different from my own.
My posting schedule tends to be: Somewhat sporadic, with occasional bursts of very frequent posting.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Nothing in particular...but that said, I feel like opening up journals to one another is a fairly significant thing. If I do so and either feel consistently uncomfortable with things I read in someone's journal, or which they comment on mine...or if I feel like we're not really engaging with each other's journals at all, I'll probably unfriend that person. I'd encourage/expect anyone who adds me to unfriend me if they feel similarly.
