INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Despite my age, I am an anime/manga otaku. Specifically interested in Bleach, which has been the source material for massive amounts of fan fiction, but I love a ton of the newer stuff as well (Haikyuu!, Gangsta, YoI, BnHA, Blue Exorcist, etc.), though I can't claim to be in those fandoms, the way I can with Bleach. Seriously, I role-played Bleach characters on Tumblr, for crying out loud. I am WAY TOO into this particular fandom. I also run a review blog MangaKast, where I post about any and all manga that I've read (warning: lots of NSFW yaoi/yuri/bara.)   I'm also a published science fiction and paranormal romance author (and, since you're not likely to have heard of me, here is my Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyda_Morehouse.) 

Other interests: language learning (particularly Japanese), baking/cooking/food, travel, religion, reading SF/F novels, Marvel comic books, and a little bit of the MCU, but I'm not ficcing in it or anything like that.

ANYTHING ELSE? I am a pagan, married lesbian with a kid and a kind of boring person who uses DW to blog about my every day life, baking, cats, my family, pen pals, and other ridiculously dull mundanity.  Oh, and I go to a lot of protests these days, so if you want to completely avoid U.S. politics, you should probably skip friending me. I don't post about it a TON, but I know it's a subject some people might want to avoid 100% for whatever reason.

Games: Final Fantasy (only ever played VIII, VII, X, X-2, XII), Uncharted, Bayonetta, Super Smash Bros, Zelda (finally got a Switch and I'm currently playing BotW), Mario, Pokemon (I got the newest Switch game, but I have yet to start it), Metroid (love Super Metroid and Metroid Prime Trilogy...in fact, I need to finish the games!). I'm slowly getting into Fire Emblem and the Fates series. I'm also picking up Persona 3 and 4 again. Still haven't played 5 yet.
Movies: Star Wars Original Trilogy + the Sequel Trilogy + Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, LOTR Trilogy. I'm also a Criterion junkie.
TV: Sadly...I haven't watched any TV shows lately. Kinda lost interest, haha!

Hi! I'm not part of the Tumblr purge but I wouldn't mind finding new friends right now!

NAME: xnera is how I preferred to be addressed on Dreamwidth. Small x, please - I don't like how it looks with a capital X.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Video games! Specifically the Final Fantasy franchise. I used to play XI on the Valefor server. Now I play FF Brave Exvius, Record Keeper, and Mobius. I'm also playing Star Ocean:Anamnesis, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts. I talk about all these in my journal, but I'm not really involved in fandom. I don't write or read fanfic, though I do sometimes make fan art in the form of amigurumi.

Which brings me to my next hobby: knitting and crochet! I write a monthly crafting post where I update with what I've been working on the past month. I spend a lot of time on Ravelry (a knitting & crochet website) where I am captain of Team Co-op in the Nerdopolis community. Nerdopolis is a challenge where you have to craft items relating to a specific theme - for example, if the theme was architecture you might knit an arch lace bookmark. My team is for fans of games of all kinds, including video and board games. We have a lot of fun.

LOOKING FOR: people who also like to squee about video games, or share their crafts, or just write about life in general.
ANYTHING ELSE?: I have bipolar disorder type II, depression, and anxiety. Although I'm stable right now, it's something I've been struggling with all my life. Currently I'm trying to return to work after a long absence, so I often write about that and my therapy sessions.
