Looking for new friends

Hi! I'm not part of the Tumblr purge but I wouldn't mind finding new friends right now!

NAME: xnera is how I preferred to be addressed on Dreamwidth. Small x, please - I don't like how it looks with a capital X.
AGE: old enough to memfault on my age
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Video games! Specifically the Final Fantasy franchise. I used to play XI on the Valefor server. Now I play FF Brave Exvius, Record Keeper, and Mobius. I'm also playing Star Ocean:Anamnesis, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts. I talk about all these in my journal, but I'm not really involved in fandom. I don't write or read fanfic, though I do sometimes make fan art in the form of amigurumi.

Which brings me to my next hobby: knitting and crochet! I write a monthly crafting post where I update with what I've been working on the past month. I spend a lot of time on Ravelry (a knitting & crochet website) where I am captain of Team Co-op in the Nerdopolis community. Nerdopolis is a challenge where you have to craft items relating to a specific theme - for example, if the theme was architecture you might knit an arch lace bookmark. My team is for fans of games of all kinds, including video and board games. We have a lot of fun.

LOOKING FOR: people who also like to squee about video games, or share their crafts, or just write about life in general.
ANYTHING ELSE?: I have bipolar disorder type II, depression, and anxiety. Although I'm stable right now, it's something I've been struggling with all my life. Currently I'm trying to return to work after a long absence, so I often write about that and my therapy sessions.

Mad crocheter, here. Also with bipolar disorder. Added you. I post on and off and I read on and off and comment on and off. When I post, they tend to be long. I belong to a crochet community here, but I don't use that very much, tending to use a FB crochet group to talk about and show off my stuff, mostly because the photo-uploading process is easier on FB... anyway, hello!

Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm in a few FB crochet groups as well (Marly Bird's group, and a Tunisian group I forget the name of). I'm rarely on Facebook though, too much drama.

I am also "older" and need new friends who understand the impact anxiety and depression has on a life. I love to knit, I find it calming but I don't write about it that much. I like to knit hats for everyone I know!

I have SO MANY HATS, lol. They're easy to make and I belong to a Hat of the Month group on Ravelry, so that gives me an excuse to make even more. Nice to meet you, and yes, I definitely understand the impact of mental illness.
