Seeking new acquaintances

My friends list has got a bit quiet, and it would be nice to meet some new people. So, without further ado...

About me: I'm in my mid-30s, and I live in the South West of the UK. I currently work in publishing, and I have a nice and shiny collection of failed careers (at least three, at the last count).

Interests: astronomy, science, books, computer RPGs and amateur SFF artwork. I used to do a fair bit of fic writing, though that seems to have tailed off since about 2016. My political views are left-liberal (it's fair to say I'm not a fan of the Trump, or Brexit, or the Tories). Musically, I listen to an odd mix of symphonic metal (think Nightwish/Within Temptation/Delain etc.), various instrumental things like Murgrind, and a surprising amount of random '80s stuff.

What I post about: mostly, my unexciting day-to-day life. I sometimes try to do more high-minded stuff, but that happens to no particular schedule. If any of this sounds of interest, please feel free to add me!

My friends list is at a steady crawl, so here I be... again. It's been a while, though.

I go by Coconut, or just Coco, on the internet, though I do refer to myself by my real name (Sheryl) in my posts at times. I just turned 29 (ew), but I'm about as mature as a 16-year-old. I don't care who you are, fart jokes are funny! I fall somewhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, even if I'm not quite sure where. I also live with mental illness, which does impact the kinds of things I post about (especially my anxiety and depressive symptoms). My interests are wide and varied: I love things that range from books to videogames to scrapbooking to writing to anime and pretty much everything in between. I'm currently in the middle of catching up with The Ancient Magus' Bride on Crunchyroll and I have developed a slight obsession with Yuri!!! On ICE. Music-wise, I listen to everything from jrock to pop to symphonic metal. My favorite film is The Crow, but I'm also a fan of uplifting films.

Due to mental illness, I'm currently on disability and live in an assisted living facility in southern Idaho, USA, and I'm currently attending an outpatient day treatment program three days a week to better manage my mental health. More information can be found on my "friends only" post. I'm also Pagan and witchy. Not sure if that kind of thing deters people or not.

My posts consist of whatever pops into my head. I really like memes and posting random stuff I find on the internet. People on my friends list hear a lot about my daily life as well.

I don't think common interests are a necessary, but they tend to be good ice breakers. So let's be friends! ^_^
