I’ve been around a while, but my list has died down quite a bit in the past year and a half, and I need more friends to keep me distracted from my thesis.

Things you should know:

1) I’m a 22-year-old wildlife conservation major who is due to (finally) graduate in December. My thesis is consuming my entire existence at the moment, so you might not enjoy my journal so much if you dislike hearing about coyote guts.

2) I’m a huge science/nature, film, art, history, and literature nut. These things don’t come into my journal as often as they did before college consumed my soul, but I occasionally make long, rambling posts on the meaning of art or whatever. I’m also a Russophile, play classical guitar, and wish I owned a zoo.

3) I won’t lie and say I’m open to everything (this should be obvious, but we won’t get along if you’re anti-environmentalism), but so long as you show some me respect, I’ll do the same for you.

My favorite things (right now) are: Homestuck, environmental documentaries, The Dirty Heads, Florence + the Machine, makeup, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Sublime, LotR, China, Harry Potter bunny rabbits, Neverwinter Nights, tarantulas, Russian, Fyodor Dostoevsky, coconut rum, and the elemental composition of coyote livers. Some of these things are constants, but some are more transient.

*DiSCLAIMER* Every time a new dw journal posts an addme (and I add them) and every time a new dw account adds me from my addme posts and disappears a week later to be removed 2 months later and be among the many dead journals on my profile, god does not kill a kitten. You know what he really does?! He burns down apartment buildings, convinces a cosmetic company that animal testing is ok, gets inside of the surgeons in hospitals and tells them "hey a few drinks won't hurt before you go to work!", and RELEASES THE KRAKEN! Seriously... I'm not joking... it's that effin' bad.

*DISCLAIMER of the disclaimer* I'm not a christian and am actually polytheistic with strange beliefs that I don't normally go into hehe. But... that's not to say a higher power of your choice couldn't do that if he/she/it wanted to. :P

You know what I like though? :) I like making friends with people through my journal. :)
Friends that... read my crap! And... are active more than once a week. And... people that interact outside of disagreeing! (Have you noticed people that never comment always do when you inadvertently offend them? hehe)

I also like... City of Heroes! Making lots of jokes and being silly! I did the johari window not that long ago and 50% of the people said I was silly (like I did) and 75% said witty. I was surprised it wasn't just 100% silly haha. And I like... goth stuff! ANIMALS! I loooooove animals and pets! I have an awesome dog. :) I listen to classical music. I am waiting on a Goth Ghost Girl pinup book to come in the mail. I also ordered some comics this weekend. I like fantasy novels and D&D.

We don't have to have much (if anything really if that's cool with you) in common.

I don't like... fandom/fanfic journals. HATE when people post their twitter crap on their journal. I don't watch tv and don't watch too many movies either. I don't know a darn thing about anime. I quit reading the news because US politics makes me mad. I really dislike journals that are about children and attempts at parenting.

I'm poor, don't have a job and don't go to school. I just update about things that happen or thoughts or just... stuff. I'm pretty chatty. :P

Hi, I've had this DW account for about 3 years now. I want to use it more often and I'm looking for friends.

I'm in my late 30s. I'm going to Law School. I love books, music, and movies. I'm fond of travel. You can find pretty much everything on my profile page, including my photo and facebook badge. I live in New York City, where I was born and raised.

My journal isn't a rundown of my day. It's mostly commentary on current events I've read, tv shows or movies I've watched, Broadway musicals, theater, ballet, sports, politics, academia and the like. I'm also a Christian in training. I was born Roman Catholic and attended Catholic schools from K-8. So sometimes my posts will be on religion, but from an objective standpoint. I have no intention of converting anyone to Christianity. I also am fond of Fashion.

My favorite band is Led Zeppelin. I've read all Jane Austen books. I've also read all books by Laurell K. Hamilton, the Bronte Sisters, Ayn Rand, and William Shakespeare. I'm a bibliophile and have about 50 books sitting on my shelf begging to be read. I have a Kindle, but I much prefer holding a book in my hand.

The last movie I watched was Sherlock Holmes:Game of Shadows. And this week I'm going to see Grey. I recently ended a toxic relationship, so I'm single as a pringle and prefer to remain that way for some time.

I come from a huge extended family from around the world, including the Philippines, Canada, Australia, Spain, England, and the Netherlands.

I'm looking for interesting people to friend. We don't have to have everything in common. Vive le difference. I like learning about all different subjects and people. I'm interested in making new friends.
