Hi! I'm lagrancostanza. I'm 22 years old. I'm from Germany, but I'm currently studying in Budapest.

I'm another one of those people migrating from LJ to Dreamwidth, so even though my journal here is still rather empty, I've actually been blogging for 5+ years.

In my journal, I write about life, books, knitting and social anxiety. Also everything else that just happens to cross my mind. Sometimes my entries are long! Sometimes they have pictures! Sometimes they have no point whatsoever! At the moment, though, I write a lot about my daily German-Hungarian culture clashes, which can flip from "what is wrong with you?!" to "I love you, please never change ♥" in a second.

I'm a baby historian, feminist, crafter, language lover and book addict; I'm a dreamer, pragmatist, doormat, fighter, snarker, fool and don't take any responsibilities for inconsistencies in my character. I volunteer in cultural youth work, which I love for some masochistic reason. I've worked at a museum for one year before starting university. I've been diagnosed with depression and social anxiety. I'm into Eastern Europe, especially the Danube countries. Here's my Goodreads profile.

I am curious about contact juggling though I am still not very good at it. I would also like to try my hand at making plushies/cosplay at some point as well.

HOBBIES: Read. I am a real bookworm, haha. I also like playing boardgames and video games and watching movies, tele series and anime with friends and spending time with them in general.
LOOKING FOR: I guess for the most part I am just looking to expand my friends since not all of the ones I made on livejournal prior to the move are joining at dreamwidth, so any who share my interests and want to get to know me/each other would be great.

NAME: Well, you can call me Mummimamma, that's my online altera ego which I've been going as since the early 2000s. And yes, Moomin Mama is one of my heroes. (Elizabeth I of England is another)

AGE: 36 according to my birth certificate. About 27 in my head.

So, I am trying to get my journaling into gear again after a year of total and utter lack of interest in most things. I miss it. A lot of my old LJ friends have left the journaling world, although that said, I still keep in touch with some of them by other means, but I miss the writing and commenting. Nothing like the instant gratification of Facebook, but I like to write something slightly longer than 2 lines every once in a while.

I work as a lecturer of Norwegian as a second language at university level (and sincerely hope I don't find any students here, go add me on fb instead), and seems to write a lot about that. Also about languages, books and my utter aptitude at being a good researcher.

I am also a lurker in various fandoms; mainly BBC Sherlock currently (I still haven't given up the hope of finding someone to travel to the UK with and spend New Years Day in a dingy hotel room with, watching the new season:)

Else? I sing in a choir, drink huge amounts of tea, like pub quizzes and sending postcards.
