It's the beginning of Scurvy Season so make sure you drink juice everyday so you don't catch it! Almost impossible to believe, but did you know they don't give out vaccines for this?!

I have had a journal going on 7 years though dw is new to me. I've already got some great friends on here, but I want more. :)

I like video games. It's a hobby of mine not a waste of time, though since people think it's not I generally cut entries about them. :P Some of my favorite games include Invasion of the Giant Dinosaur Robots, Return of the Giant Dinosaur Robots featuring Alien Dinosaurs from Space, Deer Hunter Hunter, Ants in the Pants (favorite coffeehouse game), and Who Wants to Be a Hundredaire? :)

I suppose I'm a picky person when it comes to who I want as friends. I don't care if you do or don't share any of my interests (though we'd probably have more to say to each other if we shared some,) but there are some things I don't like.

Whoa, ok. This is a little bit scary. Here goes.

So. Hi! I'm Jutta. 26. From Finland. Language student. Sort of new to Dreamwidth, though I've lived on Lj for a long time, and still crosspost there.

I have a lot fannish interests that take up quite a bit of space, so I'll put them behind a cut ( in case anyone is interested. )

I'm a fairly active user, and my journal is, give or take, 70% rl stuff. I post about anything and everything that comes to mind; dogs, family, studies, or even politics or travel when the mood strikes. I don't take myself particularly seriously. I'm a big language geek, but now during the summer, I'm just as likely to post about how much I hate mosquitoes as anything academically related.

The remaining 30% of my journal is either fic or recs or general fannish squee (all of which I keep behind cuts, because that's just plain polite).

I like to actually make friends and interact with the other people on my list, so it would be nice to have friends who use DW in a similar way. I was on LJ for almost 8 years, and I met a lot of wonderful, genuine people that I'll hopefully stay friends with for many years to come. That's the kind of connections I think would be nice to make on DW as well.

I sometimes post in languages other than English, usually (bad) French or Finnish, but I very cleverly put that behind cuts too so no one's reading list gets cluttered with illegible text.

All in all, I'm fairly geeky, fairly straightforward, hopefully up-beat, and generally curious. Oh, and I love animals. All kinds. And running. And the sun, for the little time we have it up here. And live music.
