Whoa, ok. This is a little bit scary. Here goes.

So. Hi! I'm Jutta. 26. From Finland. Language student. Sort of new to Dreamwidth, though I've lived on Lj for a long time, and still crosspost there.

I have a lot fannish interests that take up quite a bit of space, so I'll put them behind a cut

Main Fandoms: Supernatural mostly, but I lurk around the edges of Dr Who, Criminal Minds, Sons of Anarchy and anything else that catches my interest. Superhero movies are a guilty pleasure.

Fannish Interests: I read fanfic, and listen to lots of podfic. I write a little (gen & slash so far), and rec things on occasion.

Favourite Movies: LOtR, Princess Bride, Star Wars IV-VI, all things Batman, Tim Burton, Rocky... I could go on for a while here. Let's just say that if epic things happen in it, it's probably on my list of likes. :P

TV Shows: Supernatural, Buffy, Hornblower, Sons of Anarchy, How I Met Your Mother, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Dollhouse, Firefly, etc.

Books: I like pretty much everything by Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Susanna Clarke, Erlend Loe, Ernest Hemingway (really don't know why >.<), and Tolkien, to name a few.

Music: Metal. Classic rock. Blues. Indie. The order varies. (Currently Florence & the Machine is a favourite.)

I am a big gamer. This includes console (Final Fantasy, Metal Gear), table top... I even love Trivial Pursuit. I mostly roleplay World of Darkness, or whatever zombie survival/shadowrun-y universe my rpg group can come up with, using WoD rules.

I'm a fairly active user, and my journal is, give or take, 70% rl stuff. I post about anything and everything that comes to mind; dogs, family, studies, or even politics or travel when the mood strikes. I don't take myself particularly seriously. I'm a big language geek, but now during the summer, I'm just as likely to post about how much I hate mosquitoes as anything academically related.

The remaining 30% of my journal is either fic or recs or general fannish squee (all of which I keep behind cuts, because that's just plain polite).

I like to actually make friends and interact with the other people on my list, so it would be nice to have friends who use DW in a similar way. I was on LJ for almost 8 years, and I met a lot of wonderful, genuine people that I'll hopefully stay friends with for many years to come. That's the kind of connections I think would be nice to make on DW as well.

I sometimes post in languages other than English, usually (bad) French or Finnish, but I very cleverly put that behind cuts too so no one's reading list gets cluttered with illegible text.

All in all, I'm fairly geeky, fairly straightforward, hopefully up-beat, and generally curious. Oh, and I love animals. All kinds. And running. And the sun, for the little time we have it up here. And live music.

I love Princess Bride! Watched that since I was a kid. I'm 26 as well.

Is Batman your favorite superhero?

Of the DC ones, sure. I even have a thing for the old TV show from the 60's. It's just too precious! XD I guess I just like superheroes in general. If I had to pick an all time favourite, I'd have to go with Deadpool or Wolverine - from the comics, mind you. The films.., well, they were pretty to watch, at least?

The Batman movies I really enjoy, though. Both the series that Tim Burton started in '89, and these later ones with Christian Bale. Batman is just... super cinematic. (As your awesome icon proves! Very pretty!)

And Princess Bride rocks! I actually only saw it for the first time like, one year ago. I had no idea something that awesome was out there! Since, I've made just about all my friends watch it. So far, I haven't gotten quite the response I was hoping for :( I guess there's no accounting for taste, eh? :P

Yay for metal, Star Wars and Final Fantasy (I'm not a really really huge fan, but I totally enjoyed playing FF2 after it has been ported to the iPhone). And, yeah, hating mosquitoes and writing about rl stuff :-)
