Hi, I'm Spooky... I'm 21, going on 22 this December...

Next spring I'll be studying Illustration at Academy of Art University... I want to be either a concept artist for video games (mainly), shows, cartoons, etc. or a Comic Illustration (or even both).

I've had my DW journal for about a year, but never used it because.. well everyone is over on LJ.. but I decided to just use it. Like my LJ it is public.. so yeah.

uh.. I'm into video games, horror genre is my favorite.. I also adore music from Megumi Ogata.. so I do squeal about her when I find news of new releases, interviews, lives, etc.. so just a fair warning.. haha.

uh.. don't really know what else to put.. (๑￫‿￩๑;;)

I've never done an "addme" community like this before, but I just moved to DW from LJ (yes, due to the latest crap), and I'm really hoping that I can get settled into DW. I really like it here, but yeah, I suffered a drop in my f-list. So, I'd really like some new *mutual* friends. And yikes, sorry in advance for my rambling.

I'm 23, living in WI where I've been all my life. I own two cats and a horse, who is the most important individual in my life. If you're familiar at all with equestrian worlds, I'm a dressage rider as well as a jumper, though I hope to get into eventing at some point in my life. If you're not familiar with horses/riding, that's okay, too, but you might have less fun if you don't like horses at all. I keep a riding blog elsewhere, so I typically only post general horsie things in my journal. I was an English major in college, originally intending to be an editor, and a music minor with emphasis on composition.

I'm also a freelance photographer, a novel-writer (working in fantasy and literary magic-realism), occasional poet, and painter/pastel artist. I'm a pagan of my own design, though I'll admit I haven't been posting a whole lot about my spirituality lately. I read a lot, mostly fiction and fantasy, but I have a ton of interests that I'll delve into as well. Other interests include: fencing (I was a varsity sabre fencer in college), anthropology, shamanism, divination, philosophy, sciency-things, psychology (especially micro-expressions), music, mythology (especially Norse), fairy tales, folk tales, folk lore, tv (I admit to watching a lot of shows: Doctor Who and Farscape are favorites), massage (mostly equine), trigger point therapy, equine chiropractics, paganism in general, therianthropy/otherkin.

I do post a lot of daily life things. I try to post more in-depth thoughts and philosophies, but it doesn't always happen. I do the occasional meme when I'm bored, but I always put it behind a cut, and I never prod anyone else to do them. I also post art things from time to time, though I do have a photoblog that gets the bulk of my artistic attention unless it's concerning a work in progress. Posting amount varies; some days I'll post up to five times, sometimes I'll go several days or even a week without posting.

Like I said, I'm interested in people who want to be mutual friends. My journal is friends-locked, so I do ask that what is in my journal stays in my journal, not that it's generally inflammatory material or anything. I also hate drama and try to avoid it. It'd be super awesome if we have some related interests.

Hello! I'm new to DW (yes, from the LJ debacle) but a journaling veteran. I'm Sarah, a 28-year-old childfree housewife from Pennsylvania, USA. I write almost every day, typically thoughts and feelings about my day to day life. I post photos and memes on occasion, and of course I sometimes whine or vent, but that's what a journal is for, right? :P Otherwise, I try to maintain a drama-free journal, and I really just enjoy getting to know interesting, friendly people. I'm picking up this journal where my LJ left off, so it just jumps right into my life. :)

My interests include video games (PC and PS3, mostly), cross stitch, knitting, crochet, other crafts, my baritone ukulele which I am learning to play, anime, reading... I don't geek out hardcore about any one particular thing, but I tend to dabble in whatever is on my mind at the moment. Other things that are important to me are astronomy, environmentalism, human and animal rights, psychology, and more. I have liberal political views, but I rarely mention politics in my journal.

Things I look for in my journal friends: friendly, genuine, regular posting (once a week or so at least), hopefully some common interests, drama-free.

Things I try to avoid: people who are pushy/intolerant about religion, politics, or kids/grandkids, people who never write or only post internet debris, terrible spelling/grammar.

Hi. My name is Michelle. I am 39. I am new to DW (coming from LJ). I moved from Tennessee to New York to live with the man I had been in an internet/phone relationship with for over 5 years in July of 2008. I am a homemaker and my life is pretty boring (not the best of ads for making friends but being honest here). I have no children except my fur baby, Buddy. He is a Chug dog (part pug, part chihuahua) whom I have had since he was 3 months old, he is 2.5 years old now. He is spoiled rotten and he's a 9 pound bully. Since moving here, I have lost a total of 158.5 pounds and still have another 46.5 to get to my ultimate goal weight. I may not post on a consistent basis, some days I may post numerous times and some days none at all. I may not comment on every entry but I do read my friend's entries and I don't expect a comment on every entry I make. I like to read books (especially those of a mythical/fantasy nature), I like music (I tend to lean towards country/contemporary christian though I do listen to other types although usually no death metal type or gangsta rap). I am not an active Christian (meaning I do not go to church and the such) but I do have a strong belief in the Bible and God. I never try to push my beliefs on others or disrespect their beliefs and I expect the same courtesy. I also do not choose my friends by their beliefs. I am an avid movie watcher, love almost all types of movies. I post about my boyfriend, our dog, my weight loss journey, movies and other tidbits of my life. I would love to have some new friends and new journals to read so if interested, add me :)
