I, it seems like many other people right now, am a LJ refugee.

I'm 31. I'm a PhD student in microbiology.
I use my journal mostly to process my day and my thoughts. Included in there are usually references to my having celiac disease, my research, having two cats, my new quest to take better care of my body (diet and fitness), and my thoughts on personal finance as I take better care of my financial health. I also love to read. Just about everything. Just not fanfic. I don't own a TV, but my bf and I do often watch shows on netflix.

I am a scientist, of sorts. I like watching things move. I study people on the street wondering about and guessing about their lives. The most comforting thing in the world is getting to know someone's eyes. I am an extreme introvert, but I love getting to know people.

I am an optimist with a few select psychological disorders.

I aspire to be a psychiatrist.

I devour books at an alarming rate. My hands are cold but my heart is warm.

In some ways I love everything. It's less of a thing than like. More distinct, more particular. I like the things that I like but I love everything. There's more choice in like. Because even the worst things have things to love in them. In saying this...

I like; black and white photography, artsy things, artsy people, chunky glasses, isms, beautiful "drawerings" of ugly things, e.e. cummings, literature, floral print, british accents, coffeeshops, coffee, tea parties, tea (namely green), laughing, making people smile, semicolons, wearing flow-y dresses, braiding hair, bright eyes, eyes in general, seeing people's veins, hearing people's heartbeats, messy hair, thunderstorms, constellations, converse, guys on swings wearing vnecks


I dislike; Closemindedness, shoes, writing about me's.

My journal is mainly an art journal, filled with photographs, narratives, and poetry. I do, though, post my opinions/thoughs/longings/ideas/lists. I love reading and commenting my friend's journals and expect the same in return.

I want to change the world. Can I start with you?

Hello everyone, this is wordchazer  the Word Nerd.

I'm female, 40 and nuts about words.

I'm an author on suite101.com, with over 40 articles to my name so far and another 10 going up in the next few days. I guess you could call it a compulsion, but it's a way of stopping myself going totally gaga with all these opinions, a sensory overload of information which my multitude of bosses constantly ask me to provide and ideas which customers give me.

I have several jobs, around which I write, do the housework (occasionally) eat and sleep. I proofread for fun (and occasional money) and would like to set this up as a freelance business in due course.

My blog will be public access and contain mainly links to articles, occasional rants on subjects which I may or may not turn into articles and fiction works. If anyone wants to read, comment constructively and follow my work, please come and say hi.

I have another, private (f-locked) journal at LJ if you want to read the day-to-day nitty-gritty of my life, but this one is purely to give the world a window on my writing and, maybe, find myself some interest from potential proofreading clients out there beyond blogland.

racists, commercialism, enclosed spaces, modern fashions, ignorance, cities, social and sexual stereotypes, pop "music", "girly cute and pretty things", shopping (unless its for theatre or re-enactment things), bossyness/ pushyness, daytime TV, rudeness, porn (though I have a filthy sense of humour), jeans, suits, nastiness to other people, selfishness.
