I'm Jacqueline, and I'm 19. I was born September 16th 1989 in Hollywood FL, but was raised in Hamburg NY (Buffalo). I have a boyfriend that I've been with since 12/03/2007. We live with my mom and her boyfriend in Ft Lauderdale.

I am an INFJ, and finding that out really helped me to understand a lot about myself. I love to read and write. I am writing a novel. My dad is a writer also. I'm going back to school in the fall, not sure what for yet. I hopefully maybe would like to work in Hollywood writing screenplays/movies or something that has me working in entertainment. Something that will keep me busy and allow me to use my creativity. I like to make graphics in my spare time, I can design websites, and I own a graphics journal dulce. I love the Twilight saga, I'm only on the second book but I love it. I also love reality TV shows, like The Hills, So You Think You Can Dance, etc. I am also very interested in animal rights, and obviously, LOVE animals.

I can be a little dramatic (to myself, not in the way that I start drama!) and I am somewhat of an anxious person. I suffer from anxiety and other issues that accompany it, unfortunately, and at times I feel depressed. So I tend to write about how I'm feeling a lot of the time. If anybody suffers from anything related to this, we'd probably make great friends.

I try to be as optimistic as possible. I'm on here almost everyday, I comment, I read, and I'm a good friend :) I'm looking for someone that can relate to me, maybe into some of the same things.

I never gives my name on friending meme's or communities like these, because I don't feel that comfortable, but if you decide to friend me, then feel free to ask me.
I'm a girl, French, almost 18 (in July, the cancer part of this month. my rising sign is cancer too!), going to study English at university next September. I used to think about becoming a teacher, but now, translating sounds better for me. I'm an aspiring writer, and started writing again my original project/novel/however you want to call it recently. I don't know if I'll ever get to publish it, but we'll see. I'm a typical INFJ and Cancer person.
I can speak English, French, and a little bit of Spanish, Japanese and German. I'm a procrastinator too, and loves pretty things.

I'm obsessed with astrology, fate, numerology, dreams interpretations, personality tests, and all of these kind of stuff. That's amazing. I can actually spend hours reading about these.
I love tea, oolong and green teas are so good! And I believe that thunder is one of the most beautiful sound ever.
I rarely/never watch TV (except when there's something like the Eurovision.) The only shows I watch are Asian dramas, some my favourite ones are 1 litre of tears, a million star falling from the sky, long love letter and nobuta wo produce. Some of my favourite movies are Elephant, Shining, La vita è bella, The Pianist, Battle Royale...
When it comes to music, I like some Japanese bands too (NEWS, Ya-Ya-yah, Buono!, °C-ute) just like bands from many places of the world. To name a few (well, a lot actually, sorry.) : Sugarplum Fairy, Mew, Eskobar, Sigur Ros, The Submarines, Yozoh, E Z Hyoung, Alexander Rybak, Coeur de Pirate, Rufus Wainwright, Rachael Yamagata, Boys Like Girls, Why?, Cute is what we aim for, Elliot Smith, A fine frenzy, Lykke Li, MGMT, Jesse y Joy, Junior Senior....
I used to read a lot, but nowadays, I don't read as much as I'd like to. I decided to read more though, and, to give you an idea, my to-read books include Shakespeare's complete work, Lolita (Vladimir Nabokov), Norwegian Woods (Haruki Murakami). I also have to re-read Il Gattopardo ( Tomasi di Lampedusa) and Les liaisons Dangereuses (Choderlos de Lacos) for school.

These days, I mostly talk about real life, my hopes, thoughts, random stuff etc, but there may be some fangirly entries here and there.

Well, hi, my name is Romy. I am somewhere over 25 but under 40 and seeking people that want to read and be read.

A little about me:

Let's see, I am university student for the second time around (I belong to the "non-traditional" student classification). I am dual majoring in anthropology and history with a minor in geographic information systems. I am really interested in Asian cultures up to and including the Indian subcontinent and hope that in the next two years I will be able to study abroad in Japan (depends on money!). This is a big portion of my life right now and sucks me dry, but hopefully it will get a little easier - I still have about two years to go and am contemplating graduate school (what am I thinking!).

I live with my partner of 13 years and our five cats. My partner writes fan fiction for several fandoms and is hoping to write a book this year. Living with a writer can be challenging, but we have a good life with a lot of laughter and smiles.

I tend to be a fairly optimistic individual and look at the world in odd and unique ways at times. Most of my posts are about daily life and the ups-and-downs that go with it, but I do make occasional squee posts regarding fandom, music, or spaghetti forks.

I LOVE music and tend to have rather eclectic and vast tastes. But to list all the bands I listen to here would turn into a laundry list, so I will just say that if it is out there, I will probably give it a listen. I will warn you, I lived through the 80s and can get a little nostalgic. I also enjoy anime, movies, reading, outdoor exercise, spending time with friends, and all sorts of other things that people do and tend to list.

Age: I'll be twenty-two at the end of July. (And yeah, that makes me a Leo. I know fuckall about astrology, so I don't know what my moon is or any of that shit, though.)

A little about me: I just graduated (exactly a week ago!) with a BA in music, and I'll be starting graduate school in NYC this fall. My field of study is musicology (which means that I'm interested in the academic side of music, writing papers and analyzing and so on), and my primary interest is rock music, especially from the 90s. I've vague dreams of becoming a respected Elliott Smith scholar, lol. (Actually, I've no idea whatsoever what I want to be when I grow up. I'm studying music essentially because I love it, and I'm undecided on whether or not I'll go for a full doctorate or just stop at a master's.)

I'm very close to my family, which is going through some upheaval right now due to the recession. I have two younger sisters, one of whom goes to college in Manhattan (the other one is still in high school). And blah blah blah, my mother and father, blah blah blah, pets, blah blah blah, friends from high school and undergrad. :D

I'm also a fandom-y little geek. You've been warned. ♥ Oh, and I love writing; I don't know if I have it in me to write a novel, but I want to give it a try someday.

Occasionally, pictures (I've been meaning to show off some of my shots from a trip I took to Egypt in January, for instance).

I also have two side journals. One is my writing and art journal, witticaster. The other is my names journal, onomatomania. They're both friends-open.

Oh, yeah, and? Catholic. One of those pro-choice, pro-gay, liberal Catholics whose response to Pope Benny is often "Your Holiness, you are being a jerkface again, just so you're aware" but I am Catholic--because being so is more than just corresponding political views. I promise to respect your religious and spiritual views or lack thereof; in return, I ask that you respect mine.

Before we say "let's be friends!": Could you maybe introduce yourself, either here or on an open post in my journal? I'd feel a lot more comfortable if, after a nice conversation together, I knew that we'd get along okay.
