Greetings!

I'm not entirely new, but I am still new, and I would like to have a few more friends on my friend list. So hello! :)

My name is Andromeda, but I like to go by Rommie. I'm 22 now 23 and currently working toward a degree in Computer Science. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, riding my bike, drawing, and writing. I also read, but I fell out of the habit several years ago, so I'm working on trying to get my reading level up to where it should be. I'm also vegan, atheist, and bisexual.

I mostly write about stuff that happens in my life (or the lack thereof XD). I also tend to complain about my job if I'm having a really bad day. I briefly mention a couple of things I'm really into, but I don't write to all ends about them. Also, I do have some depression and self-esteem issues that crop up in my journal from time to time, but those occurrences in my journal are very seldom.

A few other quirks about me you should know:


• I tend to use a lot of emotes (like :), XD, etc.) depending on what kind of mood I'm in. I like people to know just what kind of mood I'm in so that people can understand my intentions/moods behind the text I write.
  
  
• I'm American, but I use British English spelling and grammar where I can. It just makes more sense to me to do so.
  
  
• Sometimes I can be an oblivious idiot and not understand what people are saying. Sometimes I misinterpret what people are saying. As a result, I tend to ask questions so that I can understand and not let my imagination get away from me.
  
  
• I owe my life to video games. They have helped me get through life as well as I have, and if it weren't for them, I probably wouldn't be here today.
  
  
• I have an obsessive personality, and have had one for as long as I can remember. I tend to obsess over random characters at random times. This doesn't mean that I talk about said obsessions. I only really "mention" them through my user icons, and in a passing thought (like a "I was playing such-and-such, and then…" sort of thing).

Just because I'm vegan, atheist, etc. doesn't mean that you have to be! All I ask is that you respect that I have these views - you don't have to like them or understand them, but I don't want to argue with people why I believe the things I do. I will respect your views and thoughts in return. :)

I tend to be a bit eccentric and eclectic - flitting from thing to thing at whim.

I am noticing that I probably have an unhealthy obsession with Calbee brand saya peas. I am definitely obsessed with bad movies and good music. I don't exercise enough (probably should change that). I comment infrequently when I am actually at the computer - I do like sunshine and fresh air, you see.

i love emotes! and also emotes like this: *pauses and then demonstrates a third-person narrated emote* hee hee!

and i am ALSO always asking a lot of questions in order to better understand. even if i get the basic bottom line, i always want to go deeper. :P this is usually beneficial in relational contexts but it's usually NOT beneficial when it's going on solely in my head. :P

so, ima do what i usually do -- grant you access so you can take a peek around my journal/tags and if you decide you want to be friends, grant me back and i'll subscribe. :) i find this is a really comfortable way to extend friendship while still giving someone the opportunity to turn it down without feeling bad about it. ;) i go through my friends every so often and remove access from the ones who haven't subscribed. (that actually hasn't happened yet but i'm sure it will someday. :P)
