newbie...
so... I've had this journal for a while now. and never posted in it. I've thought about posting here...but for whatever reason, I haven't.
a little about me...
hi, I'm herbie.
early 30's; single mom to a 10 year old daughter
artist by training, office drone by paycheck
born & raised Kansas, but not real fond of the politics (or the public education policies).
livejournal refugee...I found this site through a good friend I met on LJ.
likes: dogs, art (duh!), nature/plants, crafting, my daughter, yoga, art (did I say that already?), exploring my faith, reading...this list could go on a while
dislikes: passive/aggressive, judgemental people who use platforms like LJ (or twitter or facebook) to snark on other people under the guise of "giving advice" or "offering opinions"...because to me this screams "I have no self-esteem, so to feel better about myself, I'm going to put you down".
I like to write and have been told I'm good at it...right now it's mostly casual observations of other people and the day to day crap of life.
I have a sarcastic sense of humor, so if that's not your thing, we probably won't get along.
I don't go out of my way to hurt people or start drama. I am very anti-drama and don't have time for people who never mentally left high school.
I'm pretty open about everything...if you ask me a question, I'll tell you the truth, whether it makes me look bad or not.
I'm looking for people who occasionally give input (as I do)...not on every single thing I type, but don't just lurk in the shadows, either. lurkers are creepy. and none of us really like creepy, right?

I believe in showing passive aggressive people what real aggression looks like.
As for judgment, it is required that we all use it; but using it to be an asshat? Very much not advised in my presence.
