Hello, I'm looking for DW friends
Bit of an obvious subject line, but I didn't feel like leaving it blank.
Hi, I'm
fergmus! I started to move from LJ several months ago, but haven't made any new friends here yet.
I'm interested in reading detailed and reflective personal journals. If you consider adding me to your circle, please note that my own journal is my "safe space" for talking about whatever I want. There may be entries you find triggering - read at your own discretion.
I'm from Scotland. I have lived there, in England, and in Canada. Right now I live in two Canadian cities. I speak (and write) English, French, and Scots. Here's what I'm reading right now. I'm not involved in any fandoms. If anything, I'm a Proust fanperson. From time to time, I do a bit of my own writing. See my tumblr for some of my inspirations and irritants, and last.fm for the music I like.
I'm not comfortable sharing certain kinds of personal information on here, but I think taking a look at my tumblr and my writing might give you a bit of an idea. Please bear in mind that the writing on my Wordpress blog is all fiction - the identities and opinions of my characters do not represent or reflect my own.
On the other hand, I think it's important that you know that:
1) I am in a same-sex relationship. I have "come out" to all my friends and a couple family members, but I'm only allowed to be "out" around my friends.
2) I'm not "out" as plural, and you won't find any posts about that (yet). Although I have lived my way for almost half my life, I am only beginning to identify as plural.
3) There are posts in my journal about my experiences of domestic violence and depression. They aren't graphic, but they could still be triggering.
If you'd like to read my posts, and to share your journal / some of your journal with me, please let me know :)

You seem like a particularly interesting person who has had a lot of unique experiences. I'd love to become your DW friend and learn more about you!
I also believe DW is a safe space and that we should respect everyone we encounter here. I believe in respecting everyone at all times, but in particular here, where everyone is pouring their hearts out (or at least I am.)
I'm currently struggling with my sexuality, or something. It's hard to explain here. I've also recently learned more about the plural community, and would enjoy learning more about that experience from you.*
My journal is very much a "personal ranting" place. I talk about how I feel from day to day, basically, and reflect on my relationships and my future. I also have a background of mental health issues/suicidal ideation.
It sounds like we could be a good match; if you think so, feel free to add me!
*I apologize if I used any wrong pronouns due to your identification with the plural comm. I don't know enough yet to know what's appropriate. (I know some people prefer plural pronouns, at least on communities I've seen.)

It's important that I don't feel like people are reading some of my posts (in which I'm pouring my heart out, as you say) and think, "You're pathetic, just get over it, you're just looking for attention." That's probably important to a lot of people. I have some friends that I really have to keep at a distance, because they assume that depression = sadness, more or less.
Heh, I don't know if there's anything I can teach about plurality/multiplicity, beyond sharing some of my experiences - and lots of people's experiences are quite different. I can only speak for myself, and I'm still figuring myself out. But you're welcome to read, respond, discuss, etc :)
Thanks for asking - singular pronouns are fine with me.

I didn't mean to sound simplistic of a whole experience by saying one person can represent it. Just that I may learn a thing or two about your experience with it. Sorry if I got PC-ish on that topic; I'd rather be overly non-offensive then blatently offensive.
