Hello, all! I'm a LJ-imigrant, and I really miss the vibrant community that I had at my LJ. I've gone back and forth for a while now, but I really like it here, and I've gone into all out nesting-mode trying to make a new home in DW-land.

Just spiders (araneae) or all eight leggeds (arachnids)?

It seems to be anything with eight legs or more. I tend to confuse people since I wont let them kill them even if I'm in the corner rocking and crying. It's not their fault I'm a big chicken.

Oh good. I hate species-fueled homicide. Especially against the more harmless classes of the family - though really, most spiders are totally harmless.

Sometimes I post about my favorite entomology subjects - maybe through education, you'll come to be more tolerant of the friendlies :)

It is a fascinating subject. *nods* Even if it helps me to quit cringing every time I even see a picture of a spider I'll call it a win. After all, webs are one of natures marvels so they deserve the respect.
