Hello new people!
I am:
- from Finland
- a biologist, working in science education
- 28 years old
- queer and genderqueer
- kinky, poly, and sex-positive
- an atheist and a skeptic
- working on my first novel
- in two bands
- the owner of two handsome cats.
Some of my interests:
- gender and sexuality
- datin' and relatin'
- science
- popular music
- literature (although I'm a bad and slow reader...)
- tv and movies
- languages and national identities
- kink
- feminism and equality
- food and drink, both the taste and the ethics thereof
- mental health and mental health issues (both theoretically and because I've had a few of the latter in my time, even though now I have surprisingly much of the former)
- budget travel
- kittens
...also, I am not terribly active in any fandom, but I like to read about fannish stuff and will sometimes write about it. Currently I like House, Spartacus: Blood And Sand, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Inception, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, and Ursula Le Guin. And I am open to suggestions.
What I post:
- my daily joys, woes and other things of note
- gender and sexuality
- tv and movies I have seen and music I have listened to, if I have something (hopefully) interesting to say about them
- the occasional link soup
- very occasional political opinions/rants.
Other stuff:
- I access-lock most of my entries but I add people to my access list pretty easily.
- I'm not the most active commenter ever but I do try; you don't have to be the most active commenter ever but I sure like comments. But above all, I'm looking for connections with people; getting to know you; those precious moments of understanding. And those don't have to take a prescribed form.
- ETA: I have one opt-in filter. If we add each other, comment here to be let in.
