I'm new to Dreamwidth, looking for some friendly chatter. I'm a middle-aged British Christian living in California, happily married, with a stepdaughter preparing for college and a disdainful cat.

I'm a musician and writer. Been playing since my teens, and I have a music ministry. I play, of all things, Christian delta blues when I pick up an acoustic guitar, and Christian electric Chicago blues when I pick up a Telecaster. I'd post a link to it, but I'd probably lose this text... I used to be in bands, playing secular music, but God asked me if perhaps I was tired of playing in bars. I jolly-well was.

I write fiction, set in England in the early 1920s, mostly on a country estate, involving several characters. It's light, comedic/dramatic stuff and you can find it if you type Fleeceham Chronicles into your browser, and it's safe for anyone to read. I'm very excited about it as it's the first fiction I tried writing that I actually followed through with.

I love the blues. I like to watch films, I despise sports and jocks, love to read and make up nonsense words, listen to the Goon Show (highly recommended, if you like to laugh), complain a lot, am opinionated & bitter but funny, and I won't ridicule my correspondents or flirt with them. I love my wife.

I see you are in Telford. I lived in Wellington from the age of three to thirteen. Small world, eh?
