About Me: Been on dreamwidth for about five months now. For a while I've mostly used my journal as a personal diary, but recently I've wanted to make more public posts about the various things I enjoy. I've kind of distanced myself from being online everywhere else, but I'm still up for meeting new people here. I'm ideally looking for other active journals to read and maybe become mutuals with. Don't have to be in the same fandoms, but as long as we have some common interests then that's good enough for me.

I mostly post about: Just whatever I get up to in the week (mostly shorter posts). I'm also trying to make a habit of journaling any media I get into, but that's definitely a skill I need to work on.

My hobbies are: Writing, music, language learning, reading, gaming

My fandoms are: Various anime, comics, games etc. that I can't list out (my interests tend to change a lot)

I'm looking to meet people who: Neurodivergent and/or queer people, nerds who post about fandom/media often (especially meta stuff but that's just personal preference), people interested in languages, people who post about cooking or just anyone who wants to see me scream into the void about things that vaguely matter to me

My posting schedule tends to be: Anytime I want

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Anyone under 18, not too picky with anything else but as long as we still click in some way then we're good (I think me saying that I'm queer should be enough of a signal though)

Before adding me, you should know:

• Don't give out access to people unless we've been mutuals for awhile or already know each other.
• Occasional venting and suggestive/nsfw posts (you can read the terms in my intro post for more info)

Yes of course! I'll add you right now. Funny you bring up games 'cause I've been posting quite frequently about those lately. Also I saw on your profile that you're into horror stuff, so have you seen Silent Hill f? I haven't gotten too far in the playthrough I'm watching, but that's one of the games I've been really into recently.

That game is so awesome, I really really want to play it sometime. I'm trying not to spoil myself until I get the chance to play it but I have seem some gameplays and it honestly looks so cool.

Silent Hill is one of the franchises I hold dear in my heart and i'm so happy it's getting a bit of a revival lately.

Are you into other horror games? I'm more versed into horror series but could probably recommend some niche and not-so-niche ones to you if you want.

Yes but I've mostly been exposed to indie horror games so far, though I'm wanting to get into bigger titles too! Silent Hill is a series that really intrigues me 'cause the horror is expressed through the psychological elements rather than 'x thing looks/acts crazy therefore they're evil' (or so I've heard). I'd like to give some recommendations too, but at the moment there's more cozy horror than psychological horror. I'm not really someone who buys games unless I know I'll enjoy it in some way, but I could totally use some more recommendations. Need to know where my blind spots are at yk?

Silent Hill is what I consider a very competent horror, it's great, the lore is deep and full of meaningful expressions of the rotten human psyche and it doesn't rely solely on jumpscares.

Feel free to give recommendations! I promise to go through them sometime. As for what I can recommend, Duskwood is simply one of the best horror games I ever played, has no jumpscares and it's honestly pretty disturbing without being forcibly so, also the plot development is just peak. If you're into cozy stuff, I'd say play Dredge, while not being the usual kind of horror, it is somewhat scary but also very laid back (that is, if you like fishing games of course).

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll make sure to write them down somewhere (and also play them myself but that depends on the pricing). As for me, I can only recommend Zed_Technician games (curse me for being a fnaf kid lol). They're mostly known for the 'man from window' game, but that honestly doesn't do justice to how good the rest of their games are (they're short games too so you can probably finish most of them in an hour). Each game revolves around a simple mechanic that the player has to master, but under the stress of whatever paranormal entity you're up against. The games themselves also have a lot of charm to them with older style graphics, protagonists with southern accents etc. and they all take place in one single universe! (which in this case is a small town where humans and animals coexist with magic and spirits)

My personal favourite game of theirs is 'Beware The Shadowcatcher', but I wouldn't say it's their best in terms of horror compared to their other games.

So yeah here's a list of my favourite games from them ranked by their spook (mostly in terms of replayability). They're all free too on their site so you can try these out first if you want to get one of their paid games in the future (they're still very cheap):
