Name: Mr. Fox
Age: 30-something
I mostly post about:
Stories from my life — my thoughts and feelings, especially during this time of war in Ukraine. I try to capture emotions honestly: memories of a peaceful past, reflections on the present, and tales from my life as a mariner and traveler.
This journal is still in its early days, after a long break from writing. Each entry is posted in both English and the original language. I also share my own photographs — from different times, chosen to reflect my current mood.
My hobbies are:
Photography (almost professional), lomography (daily photos of interesting moments), music (acoustic, alternative, instrumental covers), psychology, and classical literature. I love discovering new things — ideas, places, people.
My fandoms are:
Honestly, I’m not active in any specific fandom. But I enjoy reading and learning, especially to improve my English.
I'm looking to meet people who:
…feel connected to what I write — kindred spirits or simply those who find meaning in my words. I’m open to everyone (with one exception: I don’t welcome those who support or excuse the war). My posts are open and honest. I’d love to find new interesting people to read and connect with.
My posting schedule tends to be:
Currently daily, or a few times a week — depending on my free time.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are:
No major dealbreakers — most of what matters is already said above.
Before adding me, you should know:
I’m an open person without any particular agenda. I’m Ukrainian — and perhaps that matters now, just to avoid misunderstandings.
Welcome aboard. These are my messages in a bottle.

I'll be honest with you, I rent out a part of my home to the local municipality as a safe home for refugees and currently have a Ukrainian Lady living with me. The house is divided in two, so we keep private and have our own apartments, and we have to communicate via Norwegian, which is not easy for either of us!
It would be great for me to have "an eye on the ground" in Ukraine so I can keep abreast of developments so I am aware of what is happening "back home" for her, even if it is just a subtle connection.
Cheers!

I'm glad to connect with new people from all over the world :)
First of all, I'm very grateful for your support of the Ukrainian family.
In my posts, I don’t write about the news or politics — there’s enough of that in daily life already. I just share my thoughts and feelings. I hope you'll still find them interesting, even if they don't describe current events directly.
I’ll subscribe and read you as well :)

It’s part of culture, a language of emotions — a way to share mood and joy with people around us and those we care about.
The best feedback is a simple smile, the pleasure it brings )
Sometimes, it speaks even better than words.

I'm American and have been journaling on LiveJournal since 2001 (and a mirror journal on Dreamwidth since 2009). I think we have some common interests, especially in photography. I often post photos from my Flickr account (I'm sweetmeow there, too). I'm nowhere near professional, though.
I'm disgusted with what has happened to Ukraine at the hands of Russia. I've seen so many photos of your lovely country and read about the strength, resolve, and creativity of your citizens. And look what Russia has done?! Right now, I'm also disgusted with how our country is responding. I know your journal isn't about politics, but this is about the survival of democracy!!!
Another thing you need to know is that I'm an older person -- age 75, to be exact. So my daily life concerns won't be exactly like yours. But I enjoy reading those who in different stages of life from me, and I enjoy many younger DW friends.
In short: my husband and I are retired and are "snowbirds" and live South Carolina in the winter and Long Island, New York, in the summer. I'm a photographer and musician (flutist), and I sing in the church choir (but I am not overly religious and don't try to change minds). My entries are friends only, but you can also take a look at my profile page.
Let's be friends!

Thank you for such a sincere and detailed presentation.
I’ll be glad if my notes can offer something interesting to you.
To be honest, my mother is around the same age too.
Thank you for your position and support. I would appreciate it if we didn’t focus too much on my nationality — after all, I’m still just an ordinary human.
Here, I’m trying to maintain my English level, improve my writing style, and, of course, express my thoughts through these notes.
And yes, I prefer democracy and freedom of speech. I’m also aware of the "new rules" in the U.S., but I believe they’re only temporary — I think this autumn will bring everything back. I believe it will

I pray you're right about the autumn....
And I have a married son who is older than you -- age 46 -- and one 9-year-old granddaughter. Check out my profile page for any more info about me.
"Messages in a Bottle" reminds me of this old song, Jim Croce, "Time in a Bottle," found on youtube:

The best words :If words could make wishes come true
I’d save every day like a treasure and then...
Do not worry please, I already take a look on Your page, and clearly understood that You have a great experience in writing.

I'd like to read your bottle messages, and you're very welcome to subscribe to my journal if you're interested. My interests are listed in my profile, since I still don't have a proper Introduction Post, ahem. I'm usually posting about the things I watched/read, stuff from work (I'm a shoemaker at a theatre), and fannish things I enjoyed or wrote.

I'm open to everyone, without limitations, and it would be a pleasure to know that my notes can reach distant shores.
There’s no need to wait—you can start taking photos right away. I suggest you take one photo each day, just one, but one that truly captures you—a moment that feels special. This is called the "365 photo" project: one photo a day. I used to follow it religiously once.
