I mostly post about: Books, media, and games I'm consuming with RL stuff sprinkled in.

My hobbies are: Reading and video games mostly, but I do enjoy yarnbending when I have the focus and motivation for it as well as anime. I have also recently gotten back into TTRPGs and play a Kenku Rogue in one campaign and a Warforged Cleric (Grave Domain) in another.

My fandoms favorites are: As I don't really engage in "fandom" in the traditional or truest sense of the word, I'll just insert some of my favorites:

• Books: The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
• Games: Firewatch and Detroit: Become Human
• Movies & TV Shows: Jurassic Park (Old School and New School) and Daredevil (Netflix/Disney series)
• Anime: Cowboy Bebop (Always and forever!), Witch Hunter Robin, Psycho-Pass, and Nisekoi

I'm looking to meet people who: Enjoy reading books and maybe want to buddy read in the future? Also playing video games, and watching anime.

My posting schedule tends to be: Sporadic, but I'm aiming for weekly in 2025.

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Politics and religion. If you frequently post about either of these topics, we won't get along. This is not because I'll agree or disagree, but because this space is the one space that I can control my exposure to it that isn't determined by some form of math.

Before adding me, you should know: I tend to post in bursts, disappear a while, and then come back. I'm introverted and typically lurk more than engage in comments, but rest assured I read posts on my reading page and will add comments in (hopefully!) a meaningful way. Books, media, and hobby stuff is open to anyone, but RL stuff will be locked.

Firewatch and Dead by Daylight are in my library but I've yet to complete them from my backlog--I do enjoy The Last of Us and Death Stranding. :) A lifelong reader, I'd love to buddy read also. :)

I think you'll love Firewatch! It's a wonderful walking sim that has some really gorgeous scenery.

Despite what my profile says, I actually don't play DBD very much anymore. 😅 (I thought I had updated that section... #oops) But, I'm happy to play with anyone that wants to give the game a try (fair warning, I'm very average at the game despite the hours invested lol).

Ahhhh, I have The Last of Us on my wishlist! I'm pretty excited about playing it when it's on sale again. I'm fairly certain I already have Death Stranding through Epic? I just haven't gotten to it, yet. xD

Death Stranding is my current obsession. Can't say enough good things about this game. As a writer, I love stories where I cannot predict the ending--and Japanese games and anime fill the bill every time. They don't follow the American format! That said, this game has been enjoyed worldwide--having an American version, Japanese, and it was also cast in several other countries as well. The game itself covers every genre possible--from story to shooting to fighting to building to racing...and more. There's literally something for everyone. :) But the best part is the people who play and discuss online are like a family. Always willing to answer questions (the game was recently released on X Box and there are tons of newbies flooding the Deathstranding Sub-Reddit), making inside jokes and giving detailed tips. Love it!

The Last Of Us--also a great story. One that was worth fighting every infected at all levels to get to the end.

Hi yes! I like NGE and a handful of others okay (Inuyasha, Hellsing, haven't kept up with much new stuff but I did start Zombie 100 and thought it was fun), I looooooooove Trigun.

Those are some titles I haven't heard in a looong while! What's Zombie 100 about, though? I've never heard of it and now I'm curious!

I got turned onto Zombie 100 from some younger circus friends, it's a pretty silly series about a guy whose work-life is so awful that when a zombie apocalypse takes over his city, his personal well-being significantly improves. He much prefers outrunning/avoiding hungry zombies to the insane work schedule he had before, haha. I haven't watched very much of it but the first couple episodes were pretty fun (I also happen to enjoy zombie fiction in general).

Did you watch Gudetama? I don't know if that counts as anime but I enjoyed that, also. It is extremely silly and not sophisticated in any way but bizarrely amusing lol.
