New here! hello everyone

Name: Pastel (or Vinny, if you'd like) he/him

Age:

24

I mostly post about:

lots of things! my main interests are antique dinnerware, writing (sometimes original fiction, sometimes fanfic), art (I'm an illustrator by trade), crochet, knitting, occasionally music, and the various medias I'm obsessed with at any given time - I'll also be babbling about whatever random things are going on in my life at any given moment.

My hobbies are:

illustration and crochet, mostly! and of course collecting and reading about antique dinnerware. please ask me about the history of porcelain production in Europe. I'm begging.

My fandoms are:

Jaws is the biggest one right now, it's been my special interest for a long time! I'm also very obsessed with One Piece at the moment, currently on the Fish-Man Island arc (Thriller Bark is my absolute favorite arc so far). once Arcane season 2 starts dropping next month I will probably be entirely consumed by it again.

I'm looking to meet people who:

also post art or crafts! or anything really, I love hearing about people's interests, no matter what they are

My posting schedule tends to be: daily/weekly/monthly/sporadic/etc

entirely random, lol. trying to post somewhat regularly to encourage me to write more, but we'll see

When I add people, my dealbreakers are:

no bigots, no rudeness. just trying to have a fun time online :p

excited to explore more of dreamwidth and meet some people! ^u^

hi Vinny, I'm vivi! nice to meet you. I crochet, knit & write a lot too, and while I'm not hugely into Jaws or One Piece (though I DID start reading the latter somewhat recently) I'd love to hear you talk about it + especially antique dinnerware? that sounds so cool??

it's okay! it's difficult on a phone screen, lol. I think if I read it on my tablet instead that'd help a lot. I had the same problem with trigun - too many small details and the phone becomes a hindrance!

and yes! I'll be posting pics soon :D

That sounds interesting. I like cobalt glass myself. Depression glass is pretty too.

>> illustration and crochet, mostly! and of course collecting and reading about antique dinnerware. please ask me about the history of porcelain production in Europe. I'm begging.<<

:D I quite admire the old plates where people basically painted artwork and then fired it. Most modern collector's plates aren't that pretty. Not something I collect, but I like the format.

>> also post art or crafts! or anything really, I love hearing about people's interests, no matter what they are <<

I post a lot about writing and nature, occasionally arts and crafts. Oh, and my current Thursday topic is Hobbies. Feel free to drop by and see if you like it.

>> totally agree about the collector's plates, I'm biased towards Rococo era things anyway but modern plates just aren't the same, unfortunately.<<

Rococo is often a bit frilly for my tastes. I like Victorian, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco among others. But Rococo often does a brilliant job with edges, like plates with lacy rims or ornate picture frames.

>> I'll definitely check out your hobbies posts! looks really interesting ^u^

Yay! I hope you enjoy those.
