Long time journaler looking for new people
I'm down to only 1 or 2 active friends on here now.
Age:
43 male.
I mostly post about:
Family, pets, anime, movies, shows, music, games, health, work, life events.
My hobbies are:
PC gaming, anime, movies, shows, technology, travel, learning and thinking about astronomy/philosophy.
My fandoms are:
I don't get too crazy with fandoms but: Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves. 86, Oshi No Ko.
I'm looking to meet people who:
Other adults with some similarities but also differences.
My posting schedule tends to be: daily/weekly/monthly/sporadic/etc
Once per week to once per month.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are:
Frequent repetitive posts. Hate, political extremism.
Other info:
I might not keep up with people who post more than a couple times per week. I am from the US (Minnesota). I'm a cat person. Live alone, no kids, never married.

You don't have to if I'm too snaky. (That is my Chinese astrological year, so I have been trying to start studying them. I just have been having trouble with the flight abroad part, because this time, instead of going to China, I have been trying to go to a graduate school in England. I heard there is a form of tasty ramen-like noodle there. My friend told me he'd make it if I would show up. I've been working on the "show up" part.)
Anyway, I think your and my hobbies may coincide, but they may not, depending on particulars.
I do like astronomy! ^.^ I have plenty of books about it and got a passing grade in my astrophysics course, though I haven't pursued it for longer than a year due to troubles with it being a male-dominant study, which you probably haven't noticed since you might have passed all your life as seeming like a guy. I only passed as male sometimes when I was travelling abroad and wasn't saying anything.
My friends and I have mostly fangirled over Sailor Moon together. They've kept up with the latest seasons better than I have - I don't speak Japanese as well, I switched departments to Chinese after my JLPT came back. D: It was not as high as I was expecting.
I have yet to hazard the HSK, which is the Chinese equivalent, or the TOPIK, which my sister would probably be better with. (It is the Korean version - she worked in a Korean restaurant for years while I was sick.)
I am also US-based, in ET, if you want to keep track of time zones, so that might be an hour ahead of CT), but I may be travelling out of the country soon, if I can get my visa paperwork to cooperate properly. My UK dream has yet to flower (to reach GMT), but it may yet. I have some books about it and made some friends in a couple of appropriate departments in respectable Universities across a couple of countries in that part of the world, so maybe! ^_^
Although I post somewhat more frequently than you described, I do not expect you or anyone else to keep up with what's going on with me. I write as a form of stress relief.
Have a good start to your week~!

I also started with LJ and have ben journaling for 20 years also, though I completely moved over to DW now.
I never formally studied astronomy or anything, other than a couple classes in college that I enjoyed. The only reason I didn't become a scientist is because I dislike academia and hate reading and writing papers, so I work in IT.
I haven't seen Sailor Moon, I mostly watch rom-coms and drama or fantasy. I did watch Madoka Magica recently, which was pretty amazing.
I've only visited Canada, Mexico, and Iceland. I can't wait to visit more places.

I'm married with a living daughter, son died in NICU. I work as a pharmacy tech, and write ghost stories and urban fantasy.
I post mostly about day to day life. My politics are classical liberal/libertarian, though most my political stuff goes behind a cut.
I'm very much into music and play a few instruments, my main ones being bass guitar and trombone. Most of what I listen to could be called goth rock, but I also love jazz and classical, among other things.

Hi there! I'm a 41 year old dude who is also a gamer. I also live alone - although I (sadly) don't have a cat. I also post only sporadically, definitely not every day unless there's a really big reason to do so. So we do have similarities but also differences. If you want to add me, feel free to do so! I'll add you back ASAP!
