Having another go at writing not just for myself...
Name: Simone
Age: 36
I mostly post about:
- I may write very generally about stuff going on in my life right now. I'm in the process of selling my first house and buying an apartment in the city. I dislike change (even when it's self-imposed, lol) so that's a big deal, although I'm currently still in the conveyancing process.
- I'm also grappling with being a late-diagnosed autistic woman with some social anxiety, and the issues that causes with making and keeping friends, particularly post-2020 (as I became a bit isolated and reclusive during lockdown...) and as someone who works from home.
- I joined Mensa this year and I'm trying to go to events.
- Reviews, mostly of video games.
- Prompts/quizzes/etc that I find interesting.
My hobbies are:
- Drawing and painting (I've been dabbling in line and watercolour for the past year or so)
- Video games (mostly indie, puzzle, and adventure games...occasionally a bit of strategy)
- Paper journalling (former bullet journal person, now a bit obsessed with Hobonichi planners)
- Going for walks and picnics
- Reading, sometimes (mostly non-fiction but I'm currently reading a Lovecraft collection)
- Dressing in some kind of vaguely-1950s-inspired vintage repro style (not a tradwife, just to be clear lol..."vintage style not vintage values", etc.)
My fandoms are: Pokemon is the only one I feel strongly about (predominantly the main series games but I'm also watching the Horizons anime). I also like Game of Thrones / House of the Dragon, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I don't post about fandom stuff very often, though.
I'm looking to meet people who: ...are of a similar age and have some shared interests, maybe?
My posting schedule tends to be: Still working this out due to not really doing access list posts for a while. I don't think it will be daily but I will aim for weekly.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: I don't really care what people's politics are because I'm not here to write or comment about that, but I'd prefer not to read any racism, antisemitism, homophobia, misogyny, etc.
Before adding me, you should know:
- I'm Jewish, but not very observant or involved in anything Judaism-related at this point in my life. In terms of belief, I'm an atheist. This isn't something I'll be writing about in detail but just wanted to mention it.
- I'm a radical feminist. Again, this isn't something I'll be writing about or discussing further, but just wanted to mention it.
- I'm still finding my feet with access list posts, after many years of writing purely privately. For the same reason, I haven't been much of a reader/commenter in recent years but I am trying to change that. However, if you want someone who will definitely comment on every post, I may not be the person for you.
- I may lapse back into private posting. It has happened before, because writing for an audience is just different to writing purely for oneself, and sometimes life gets too tiring for me to do that. But I will try to keep making access list posts, even if they're just prompts or something for people to engage with.
- I don't think I'll be sharing things that are extremely personal, or work-related (for confidentiality reasons). I also won't be writing about other people or relationships in detail. So if you prefer deeply personal writing, again, I may not be the person for you.

We have many things in common in the hobby department, and I can empathize on change, transitioning through a big one myself (embarking on a "career break" to home educate my son for a while). I have an About Me if you want to get more info, but most of my posts are under access lock so there's not much else to see until I add you. I also post privately a lot, I get that bit. Sometimes thoughts are for me, sometimes I'm up for sharing them to my circle.
