I mostly post about: My account is more than 10 years old but I've only been actively using it for the past few months. My posts have sort of been all over the place during that time. My original intention was to treat this blog as a personal journal to talk about IRL stuff + random interesting things that I come across out in the world, but somehow most of what I've written so far has been book reviews. So who knows?

 

My hobbies are: reading, writing (original and fanfic), taking my dog to pretty places, anime, VR, cooking, getting into archery

 

My fandoms are: I'm mostly active in anime fandoms right now- I write fic for Blue Lock and Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun. I enjoy a lot of other media though, mostly sci-fi/fantasy books and TV series. Fandom is a pretty big part of my life tbh. 

 

I'm looking to meet people who: are enthusiastic about their interests (even if they're not the same as mine) and who I can learn something from. I'm kind of lonely IRL and so ideally I want to make friends and get to know people over time. 

 

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: please be 18+ and open-minded/ respectful.

 

Before adding me, you should know: I'm going through a divorce and am liable to complain about it sometimes. Also, I'm not especially interested in discussing politics but my left-wing views might come up sometimes. Check my sticky for more info.

I'm not into anime, but I love to read and grew up with doggos/did some rescue in my late teens/early twenties with family.

Yeah, I like gushing about books... I think most of the reviews I've written have been after a few glasses of wine which doesn't help lol.

Definitely catch up on Iruma-kun! There's been a few good arcs this year!

I see you write a lot of BNHA fic- I've actually been thinking of going back and watching/reading that since I heard it's ending soon. I was really into it for the first few seasons but it's been a while since I was up-to-date.

The BNHA manga's final chapter is going to be on August 5th!! We're doing live reaction posts on season 7 at the moment over at bnha_fans but that might be a loooot to catch up on haha, this season is the start of the Final Arc. Hope you do enjoy if you decide to catch up on the series :D

Hi! I love books, writing and I used to watch a lot of anime, I just have too little time for it at the moment. I'd love to make friends! I mostly write about my life, I have 3 small kids which do take up a LOT of my time and headspace so that's reflected on my blog, but I try to focus on other things as well like my hobbies. blue lock is one of my favorite series (bachira and rin are my faves, though i do have a big soft spot for barou, heh)! i'm not entirely current with the story as of yet due to my own choices (pretty much i like to let chapters build up before i consume it all in one siting, haha, i go through it too fast) :K

Some folks use recurring posts to pin down favorite topics and maintain activity.

Definitely highlight that. Fandom is huge on DW but not everyone is into that, and it can be challenging to find blogs about other things. There are people looking for it.

I do that -- mostly cookbooks, gaming handbooks, speculative fiction, occasionally other random stuff.

I do reading, writing, cooking, gardening and birdwatching, links to random articles, etc.

common_nature is good if you like scenery; people post lots of pictures there.

Yeah, I'm more into books and film than anime at the moment, although I've seen some in the past.

I forgot to mention the beginner stuff, which is also helpful if you've been away a long time.

getting_started and reddit_refugees are both good places to begin. "Reddit Exodus" lists a lot of handy resources.

1) my dog is a rescue- my mom got her a DNA test for Christmas last year (lol lol) and supposedly she is a corgi/ chihuahua/ australian cattle dog mix.
2) historically I've mostly read fantasy books (lord of the rings and crystal cave series are the ones I've read over and over). I've been reading mostly romance books recently because I'm finally being honest with myself and admitting that my own writing is more "romance with fantasy elements" than it is the other way around and I want to know the genre better.
3) I used to cook a lot of Chinese/other Asian food for my husband back when I was married but have been re-exploring other cuisines recently. Fish tacos tonight!
