I mostly post about:
just started the blog but i want to use it as a diary and talking about the movies i watch,posting interesting stuff i find online and ranting about videogames.
My Fandoms are:
I love shin megami tensei and final fantasy (specially xiv!! but it's been a while since i played it) im also a big fan of dungeon meshi and the bear
My hobbies are:
i like writing, drawing, playing rpgs,going for walks and watching moviess
I'm looking to meet people who:
post about their life, videogames, movies and music.
My posting schedule tends to be: daily/weekly/monthly/sporadic/etc
i'll try to post once a week but i think it will be sporadic
When I add people, my dealbreakers are:
when they are minors that post nsfw stuff... or turns out they're intolerat with gender/sexuality issues
Before adding me, you should know:
i dont censor words and sometimes will talk about nsfw stuff

You might like communities such as reddit_refugees, dw101, and getting_started which have lots of information on how to use Dreamwidth and where to find people who share your interests.

Recurring posts are good for pinning down what your main topics are. You could have a recurring post for movies, one for videogames, and leave the rest of the days for diary entries and random links. For the latter, watch for folks who often post link clouds or single links. Some of us do a lot of this -- I've got readers who basically use me as a newsfeed.

There are tons of writing and art communities, plus a good number of gaming ones (tabletop and video). People often post about walks, with pictures, over on common_nature.
