I mostly post about: Not much for now, as I just joined, but in the future I hope to post about my traditional art, memories, interesting things I found and maybe the ugly state of the internet, haha. I have some creative projects I would like to talk about, too.

My hobbies are: Drawing in good old ink, birds, video games (mostly indie, rarely AAA, and everything inbetween), TTRPGs and sometimes worldbuilding

My fandoms are: I really enjoy animations like Arcane, Adventure Time, both Avatar series, all things Ghibli (especially Mononoke and Nausicaä), all things Satoshi Kon (especially Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers), etc.

I'm looking to meet people who: Generally, everybody is more than welcome. The only thing I ask is not to be political as I tend to view sites like these more like a safe haven than a platform for debate.

My posting schedule tends to be: I hope I have something artsy to show every week and maybe inbetween I talk about random stuff. It really depends on what happens in my life. It has been a looong time since I wrote longer-form content on Livejournal so I have to get used to it again.

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Discrimination or rudeness of any kind, overly political (left or right)

Before adding me, you should know: I am more of a quiet and reserved person as long as I don't know people. So I may have difficulties communicating because I just don't know what to say. Also, I am an atheist, so if you are very spiritual or religious, that's completely fine, but I will most likely not engage in that. As I am also asexual, I'm not very interested in NSFW sites or content (not offended by it, just bored). We can gush all day about the buff ladies but I don't want to see them drip everywhere ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You sound like an interesting person and I'd like to get to know you better. I also love birds and I am intrigued by your art. Also asexual/possibly demisexual here (it's complicated xD)

As for the political stuff, I have to say that I did post a short entry on the recent Israel situation the other day but it wasn't super detailed and it was probably the only political thing I posted since I've been writing here (two years or so). So usually you wouldn't see anything like that from me.

Sure, sounds good! I added you just now. Your user name makes me think you are also from Germany (or Austria/Switzerland). Is that correct?

Oh and it's perfectly fine if you want to write about politics in your space. I meant it more like "Please don't start a discussion in my comments" or anything of that sort. It's not that I am not political, quite the contrary, but I just need my one little corner where I don't encounter any politics. But that only applies to my own journal, not those of others, if that makes sense.

Big high five on Satoshi Kon love! Your ink drawings are wonderful—I am very fond of that medium in particular and I am interested in visual arts in general even thought I don't draw myself. I'm excited to see more!

I've only been on DW a couple days so if you're willing to give it some time and see whether there's anything for us to connect over, feel free to add me—and I won't hold it against you if you later unsubscribe :)
I can say there will be my fan creations (anything nsfw will be locked as such—believe it or not, I'm a fellow ace :) and probably some stuff about fandoming and creating but I also want to just share non-fannish thoughts and stories or media recs etc because DW seems like the best place for it right now.
