Any 90s/00s people?
Title: Any 90s/00s people?
Yeah I get it; you're older now and work and have kidz.
Well I've never had a job, nor can I seem to get one now that I have "become transgender".
Right now my blog is a miserable mess of me being angsty about my transphobic family, paranoia and mental illness, how fucked up the system is and not being able to land a job or get out of my transphobic family's house. Yeah, I'm bitter. But at least I'm not wrong.
Normally, I've had positive vibez about my transition and finally going out.
I did think transitioning would turn me into a cool Tumblr site model, but I'm still getting bullied even after becoming a woman, which is bringing back the counter-cultural angst. I'm starting to go vintage again. Smart.
Currently listening to 90's grunge.
I "get" arthouse flicks and "serious literature", but I'm too depressed from being single all my life to watch or read anything. Maybe I need to go back to my 2000s hipster mentality that intellect is romantic and I'll win someone over with it.
I was shut-in for 10 years and only just started going out thanks to finally becoming a woman. Too late; I'm crazy now!
If this doesn't scare you away, feel free to drop a comment and add me!
(Here's a recent pic of me wearing my old pop star wanna be clothes; want to see more?)

Do not feel guilt about your mental distress, I talk to a lot of young and transitioning transfolk as part of my dayjob and EVERY SINGLE TIME the reason they are in distress is not from them being trans, it is from them having non-supportive or even actively abusive parents. To be miserable is a perfectly natural reaction of any child (trans or cis) to such treatment. Hang in there, be true to who you are and who you need to be, and be aware, your distress is a natural and normal reaction, for which you should not feel guilt.
You need to find your tribe, an external support group who can make up (at least a little) for the lack of support at home. Real life clubs and socials, but facebook groups can be a good place to start, where you can connect to people in the trans community and get recommendations of safe social places you can go to relax, explore your path and presentation and get support.
I've friended you, so you can check out my journal if you want to reciprocate. If it's not for you, I'll unfriend after a set time.
