Seeking New Friends
Name: Georgiana or Georgie. Neither is my legal name, but they are what I use here.
Age: Thirty-nine.
I mostly post about: Entries may consist of anything from short summaries of my day, to surveys, to essays on various topics, to interesting links and quotes that I find, along with my commentary on them. I also write about dandyism, antique menswear, dating (mostly opinions and what I am seeking), and occasionally, about blindness. I try to avoid politics and modern celebrities, since neither interests me. I wish to keep my journal light and happy, though if I must discuss something important, I do so. Most of my journal is public, but adult-oriented posts are age-restricted and put behind cuts.
My hobbies are: studying dandyism, Received Pronunciation, Latin, and the Regency. I also like coffees, teas, nasal snuffs, antique menswear and accessories (no feminine clothing or makeup), chamber music, gardening, crafts, nature documentaries, cooking and baking, and playing cards and dice. I love wit, wordplay, and sarcastic humour without vulgarity. I realise that some of these are not hobbies, but they are interests.
My fandoms are: I don't have any.
I'm looking to meet people who: are positive, who share my interests and can introduce me to some new ones, and who enjoy at least some elements of high culture. While the minimum age I will add is twenty-one, I tend to get along with those who are older than I, particularly seniors.
My posting schedule tends to be: I usually post once per day, sometimes more, though there have been instances in which I didn't post for awhile.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: minors (I prefer at least over twenty-one), depression and/or anxiety that's a significant part of your life, bad self-esteem, drama, drugs, religion or politics (if you constantly write about them), a lot of bad grammar and spelling, and excessive use of obscenities. Please note that I am totally blind, so if you mostly post images, I won't be able to comment on them, as I cannot see them.
Before adding me, you should know: I have no time for political correctness, lies, or drama. While I always try to be civil during discussions, I share my opinion without reservations. If you are easily offended, please do not add me. I have a very dry and witty sense of humour. Otherwise, feel free to read my profile and/or posts and add me if you wish. I will most likely reciprocate. I comment when I have something to say.

I am in fandom, as you said you are not, and currently in a relationship, so no worries I'll hit on you. At least one of my prominent fandoms is Regency era. Other than that I'm a Buddhist witch, a writer (not an author yet alas), and very much a dreamer. The name I use online is Sam, which will align with my legal name better in a short time. Hello!

Small warning. I am in the middle of a personal housing crisis (our house was sold for taxes 2 years ago, and the county just told us the deadline to pay), so there may be some posting about that. I'll be making a unique tag for it, but most of it will be as public as possible since a friend is starting a GoFundMe for us. Ignore it as needed. Asking for help is not demanding. I've known that for years.
