Greetings!

Name:Apple

Age: 18+

I mostly post about: I haven't actually posted much yet, but when I do I'll probably be posting about my fandoms, and some of my fanfic and original fiction. Maybe some recipes, I'm not sure yet.

My hobbies are: Reading, writing, baking/cooking, filmmaking, and watching movies.

My fandoms are: Supernatural/The Winchesters, Bullet Train, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Babylon (2022), Fool's Paradise (I really like Hollywood commentary movies, or movies that have anything to do with filmmaking.) (I'm also a pretty big Brad Pitt fan), the Ocean's 11 trilogy, Snatch, The Boys, Fight Club(!!!), Marvel's 616 universe (Specifically early vol. 1 Avengers from 1963. I know most other eras but this one is my favorite) Marvel's 1872 universe, Batman (just in kind of a general sense), Midnighter, The Walking Dead, House of Leaves, John Dies at the End IASIP... and some more that I'm probably forgetting.

I'm looking to meet people who: Are in my same fandoms, or who are just friendly! I'd love to talk fandom. Or people who like baking or are in the punk subculture. I'm a huge fan of baking so I'd love to swap recipes, and I'm a punk so it would be nice to talk to some other punks. Also! Any original fiction writers, feel free to reach out! I'm trying to get more into writing original fiction, and I'm always stoked to hear people ramble about their OCs.

My posting schedule tends to be: ... I don't really have one yet. Hopefully every few days, but I might be more active on my Tumblr.

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Uhh honestly not much.

Before adding me, you should know: I create and consume dead dove content, I will tag and mark my posts TWs/CWs if necessary, but if engaging with that content is a dealbreaker for you, you might not want to add me. You probably want to be 18 or over if you add me, because I might post some explicit stuff.

We don't share a lot of fandoms but I love House of Leaves, Batman, and IASIP -- and dead dove content, lmao. For Batman I'm a Jason Todd stan but also love the joker and Batjokes, idk if that's a dealbreaker. I mostly post about Star Trek these days, but also fandom and original writing in general, and book reviews, queer stuff, life updates, etc.

I've never read that one! I remember I read one, I think called "Revolutions", and I started that enormous post-HoL series that was supposed to cover every letter of the alphabet(iirc?). I loved his style but I feel like House of Leaves used it best and had the most heart, and the most *reason* to use it. It's really his masterpiece imo.

I've actually read that one and it was great! A really gorgeous production -- it reminded me of those Universal Studios "experiences", the rides where they try to suck you into a story through the queue itself, with set pieces surrounding you, exposition, in-universe videos ... you know, like if it's a Tomb Raider ride, maybe your line will weave through a downed airplane, a jungle setting, etc., with pieces of debris for you to inspect, letters and maps displayed on the walls, a video message from a missing pilot -- then you get to the ride itself. That's sort of what Ship of Theseus/S is like, except for books. AFAIK it's a one-of-a-kind literary exercise.

House of Leaves was a lot more moving to me, and it stuck with me longer. But Ship of Theseus was awesome and I wish we had more book experiences like it! It's just that I'm sure production costs are so high, we're not likely to see more XD

I would love to see that!! I definitely need to reread the book. I last read it in like 2012 or 2013 and then I loaned it to a buddy who never gave it back, haha. I keep saying I'll get around to buying myself a new copy that way I can reread sections at will. But it's always a $30 book! I need to find a used copy.
