I mostly post about: daily life, interesting news, music I've been listening to, books I've been reading, the movies & tv I love.

My hobbies & interests are: Egyptology, archaeology, anthropology and folklore (especially Egyptian mythology and witchcraft, and the witch trials of Early Modern Europe (and beyond)).
I have a growing interest in aliens, ufology and the psuedo-history/science of ancient aliens/ancient astronaut theory. No, I have no idea why either, but I've learned to not question random interests - instead I embrace them and see where they go!
I also enjoy reading, crossword puzzles, visiting museums, the various portrayals of witchcraft in popular media, and am regularly kicked out of coffee shops becuase they want to close and I've lost track of time in the back corner!

My fandoms are: I think my only real fandom - in as much as I read fanfiction and love engaging with other people about - is Stargate SG-1 & Stargate: Atlantis
I also really enjoy Indiana Jones, The Mummy movies, Relic Hunter, Tomb Raider - cheesy, fun, treasure hunting kind of things

I'm looking to meet people who: Write about their daily lives and the things they love

My posting schedule tends to be: I'm aiming for 2-3x a week, depending on how the mood strikes

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Having read through the previous posts, I think I can safely say 'the usual'. No minors, no bigots, etc etc

Before adding me, you should know: I'm not actually sure how to answer this. It's like when someone says 'tell me about yourself', and you suddenly don't have a clue who you even are!

Hello! We've got some overlapping interests, I'd love to read more about archaeology/folklore/etc stuff, and I enjoy cheesy treasure hunting movies too (the Tomb Raider movies are some of my absolute faves, I watched them sooo many times when I was younger). I also saw you mentioned The Librarian(s) on your journal, have you ever watched Warehouse 13? It's got a very similar premise with a team that protects a secret warehouse full of magic/dangerous artifacts. It's one of my favorite shows, a bit more sci-fi leaning but definitely a lot of fun!

I have not seen Warehouse 13, but having just looked it up, it does sound like something I would enjoy so I've added it to the list of things I want to check out. Thank you!

Seems like we both have the common interest in reading about other people's daily life and fandoms/hobbies, and generally enjoying learning about new subjects. ^^ Speaking of which, I know Stargate, SGA, and Relic Hunter through my wife, not an actual fan myself, but I'm very used to listening about those things! It is absolutely ok to ask, and thank you for doing so. No, I probably won't post in great detail, and would always try to post anything that could be uncomfortable behind a cut!

Oh wow we have a lot in common! I'm also an Egpyptian mythology nerd, adore Stargate for setting me on that path. Indiana Jones is one of my favorite characters ever!

The paranormal stuff is also an interest of mine because the stories are just so fascinating; you should try listening to old Art Bell episodes sometime, he was the king of all that stuff when he was alive.

I think Stargate set quite a lot of people down similar rabbitholes - it was the one that made me realise I could actually study this stuff so for that I will forever be greatful!

Howdy! My name's Apple, and you seem like a pretty cool person! I love Egyptian mythology and folklore--granted it's been a while since I engaged with it in a serious manner--and mythology in general. I'm also a huge fan of Indiana Jones right now (currently rewatching the movies for the first time in ages and wondering why it took me so long--haven't seen the new one yet though!), and it seems like we've got a similar taste in music as well, I love me some Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne.

Is that..Ronald Hutton on your interests list that I see? Hullo. :D I see we have quite a bit in common. The overwhelming majority of my entries are locked, but I tend to post daily life and my forays into myth and folklore and cultural practices, and such. Whatever catches my interest. Stargate and Indiana Jones is what I grew up on although I admittedly haven't given either much thought recently. I'm the kind of person who never really loses interest, both are very much beloved still.

It absolutely is Ronald Hutton in my interests - I adore his books on folklore, paganism and pre-Christian Britain, and I've attended a great number of his lectures (online and in person). I find him super interesting and all around pretty awesome!
