I lost my dad last year, so much sympathy on the loss of your parents.

I live in a rural northern state. I write fiction and work remote. I journal about day-to-day life stuff, and my art stuff goes into a daily blog that I link to (if you're interested in literature). I like taking walks, thinking about people in my life, and working on projects. I especially like having many friends / acquaintances from a broad background. I love hearing about what they think about any topic. I read endlessly. However, I don't like it when powerful people write as if they were given the right to decide how others they see as less than them should behave or think -- like if Tom Hanks mused publicly about a stereotype of someone who couldn't attend college for whatever reason must be this way... that'd be uncool, imo.

We might get along...

I'm kind of an old school goth and big on music. I play a number of instruments, my main ones being bass guitar and trombone. I like a lot of different kinds of music... jazz, classical, swing, punk, ska... I probably listen to goth rock the most, my two favorite bands being the Cure and Oingo Boingo.

Politically, I'm a libertarian... small l, as I don't like the conservative turn the party took. If you aren't familiar with libertarianism, it basically means I want people to be left alone if they aren't hurting anyone. I don't post a lot of politics... and I usually put it behind a cut when I do.

It's been awhile since I've been fishing, and I've never hunted... though I do quite a bit of target shooting.

I absolutely love ghost stories... especially ones that are allegedly true. I am a writer, and I do like to write fictional ghost stories. I have one co-authored with my wife published through Amazon.

I have a living daughter and a son that died in NICU. I'm a celtic pagan. I post quite a bit about abuse at the hands of my parents, and sometimes my ex, in addition to my day to day life.
