Let's try this again.
Made the mistake of suppressing my gender identity in my last post, so I'm doing this again.
Name: Ashley
Age: 34
I mostly post about: Currently, I am trying to get a life and to summon the courage to go out in my female form (I'm trans). Then maybe about my currently non-existent dating life. I am VERY romantic. I've never actually been in love, which is why it seems like such a desirable dream for me. I am in so much desperate need to love and be loved. Am lesbian but not opposed to sleeping with guys, as turning others on turns me on. May also post about my hobbies/interests.
My hobbies are: Fashion. I like dressing up, but not the high fashion stuff, 'cause it's bs and also because it's for cishet (cisgender heterosexual) folks and, lastly, I can't afford it. May post selfies of me in new clothes.
Gaming. Prefer the shorter and natural-feeling older games of the 2000s, but also like some modern JRPGs and online games. I have a Steam Deck, Switch and decent enough gaming PC. Sold my XSX, because gaming on the big screen makes me ill. Honestly, I wish I could game more, but my family stresses me out at home (yes, I still live with them), so I can't even focus on things like gaming or reading books.
Music. I like indie, metal, alternative rock, that sort of stuff.
Film. I like horror flicks and lesbian cinema. Might get back into anime, but... ehhh.
I'm looking to meet people who: Were you emo in high school? Goth? Yeah, me too. I know a lot of ya'll have babies now, but I don't know where else to connect with people my age, since I do not have a job and, by extension, life.
My posting schedule tends to be: Whenever I feel like it, as this is not a job, but I will try to post regularly.
Before adding me, you should know: I am very mentally ill, but working on it. However, if your buddies get awkward over my comments on your journal, that is NOT my fault. If I feel uncomfortable I will stop commenting, temporarily or completely.

I'm also mentally ill as well. I'm also working on it too, but some days, it's rough.
Add?

I wasn't actually goth or emo in high school, but I probably would've been if I'd been self-aware enough to have an identity at all.
course in that case i'd probably also have been a girl already too and trying to explain any of that to my family when i was still dependent on them would've been unpleasant at best so maybe it was for the bestno subject

I am a cishet guy... and very non-judging on the matter.
I'm celtic pagan, have been for 20+ years.
I consider myself kind of an old school goth.
I play a few instruments, bass guitar and trombone being my main ones. Always trying to learn more of them.
I don't drink a lot... but I do brew my own beer and mead.
I do have fun with target shooting.
On politics, I'm a small l libertarian (small l, as I don't like the recent conservative and bigoted turn in the national party). I actually did run for state house of representatives as such in 2020. I try not to talk much politics on DW, but I do sometimes.
Aside from that, I'm happily married with a 1.5 year old daughter.

For some fun, try telling some self-described capitalists that what they're supporting is corporate socialism. I recently had to educate one on facebook why his argument against higher wages for fast food workers was irrelevant and naive, as we don't have a free market.
lol... I usually avoid politics on here, but I am something of a geek and have been reading up on economics.
