Almost 6 decades in and I'm still a work in progress
Greetings from the upper left USA. I started on LJ in 2004 and merged over to DW when things degraded over there, I don't remember now 2012 ish?
Location and language(s):
Originally from Detroit, MI, but now call the Pacific Northwest Home, although I'm in Canada often as I have family there. I speak and write in English. My attempts at learning another language are sad. I have been trying to learn ASL as my hearing is very poor any more. Writing is my main mode of communication any how, so that's where I am at mostly: writing.
Age range (e.g 20s, 30s, etc.):
55
Hot button/deal breaker issues that will likely lead to unfriending:
Don't be a dick and we're good.
You mostly write about:
The Listmania In My Head: My life as a writer, witch, permaculturist and Earth healer, mom to a brood of 5 (took 6 adults to create these lives, My partner and I are just the ones who showed up for them), wife, and disabled vet, and logging things I'm trying to improve upon or record (health, sleep, my spirituality). Occasionally I nerd out on things like current events, history, gaming, technology, books, movies. A lot of my journal in the past was how I coped with living with special needs children and how my ex just fucked us all. Now it's more about how to find peace and quiet.
Is your journal mostly public, locked, or a mix of public and locked?
Locked
Your posting frequency (e.g. daily, every few days, weekly, etc.):
Just about daily
Does your journal frequently include any of the following: memes, linkspams, gifs, photos, videos, etc?
Not really. Occasionally a link to whatever I'm working on.
What do you enjoy most about journaling?
Understanding ::gestures wildly:: everything better
How often do you read your friends list (e.g. daily, every other day, once a week, etc.)?
Few times a week, but my list is pretty small and they don't journal as often as I do
You really enjoy reading about:
How other people deal with this thing called life, especially if they've found something they love.
What is your approach when it comes to commenting on other journals?
I remember that their journal is like having tea at their house and if I wouldn't say it to them there, I wouldn't comment on the journal. I comment when I feel like I have something they would find value in, even if it's just commiseration.
Would love to have more interaction here as I've been here for years and the LJ folks that moved over here were few and my Flist is pretty paltry. I miss having those connections.
If you're interested in checking out my journal, send me a message.

Glad you liked these questions! They were created specifically for another friending comm, Finding Friends (https://findingfriends.dreamwidth.org/). It would be greatly appreciated if you could also post on that community since we worked really hard to come up with a comprehensive list of questions that worked better than the usual friending-meme questions.
Thank you!

I have recently moved from LJ and am looking for more interaction :). I mostly post about anything and everything- but mostly daily life, my kids and husband, work... and things that bring me joy (cooking, fitness to name a few).
I am not generally a whinger, but saying that- there might be some of that sometimes too (I document my life, and that is often part of life).
Let me know what you think.

Not in common: While we do have in common that we are both wives and mothers, I am at a different stage, as I have a younger kiddo (3). I also have an older one (18). And you mentioned about permaculture, which I don't know a single thing about at all.
