INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Reading (mostly fantasy at the moment), icon making (when I can), writing (when inspiration strikes), crochet, and all manner of random crafts.

LOOKING FOR: I'm open to anyone that is looking for friends.

ANYTHING ELSE?: My journal is a mix of public and friends only posts. I do a lot of book dump posts. My life is currently a bit of a depressing dumpster fire and I post about it sometimes, but I try to mix the good with the bad so they're not overwhelming.

Hello there. Have added you if that's cool. I just posted in this same group. Been around here for a while and was a long-time LJer myself (that account is long since deleted). I read fanfic and F&SF, and I crochet (and have a vague interest in learning knitting).

Also, are you telling me they filmed The Alienist? If so, where in heck can I watch it?

They did indeed make The Alienist into a show. I haven't read the books yet (I'm holding out hope they'll have a third season from the third book and don't want spoilers), so I don't know how it compares, but I very much enjoyed it. It was on AMC I believe, I'm not sure if it's currently streaming anywhere or not.

The books are fabulous. I didn't even know there was a third one so now I have to scurry off and find it. Thanks for the unwitting heads-up.

I'm not sure if the third one is published yet. I read an article a couple years ago that talked about the author having a third one in "the works" I'm not sure what that meant or how the pandemic would have impacted things.

Yeah, it's unclear about that. I did some digging on the intarwebz, and the answers were 1) ambiguous and 2) quite contradictory to each other. Will keep an eye on it.
