Hail.

NAME: Stevie, Synnari. I go by both names.

AGE: I turned thirty-nine a couple of weeks ago.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Coffee, BDSM, goth culture, make-up, reading: erotica, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, some fantasy, Lore Olympus, gaming, some astrology, Luciferianism/Theistic Satanism, witchcraft, divination (namely tarot), body modification (I have twelve or so tattoos, and a few piercings), listening to music/concerts, singing, creative writing, going for walks.

LOOKING FOR: Kindred spirits and anyone who is genuinely called to connect with me. I operate pretty intuitively.

ANYTHING ELSE?: I do speak of my spiritual experiences/practices a fair amount in my journal, so if you're not open-minded, chances are you're not going to like what I post. I am pansexual and have had poly experiences with my current partner, although it's not our current focus as of right now. I am a classically trained vocalist, and I have been playing World of Warcraft on/off for the better part of the last fifteen years. (I also play RuneScape 3, Diablo 3, attempted my hand at MTG, working on my first D&D character.) My favorite current authors are Kresley Cole and Tiffany Reisz. I'm pretty open (TMI doesn't really exist in my collective universe) and often friendly in chatting with others. :)

*raises hand* I feel called! (Or rather, feeling a pull. XD) I'm also interested in goth culture, paranormal romance, astrology, witchcraft, divination, listening to music, and creative writing, too. But feel free to check out my profile to see if we'd jive! :)

Cottage witch, although I don’t post a lot about it as I’ve never been sure what to say. I post a lot about family life, living in the woods, crafts, a bit about my job in gamedev (in so much as I can). I’m an Earth/fire person, I think it shows XD

Always interested to read about other people’s spiritual experiences, as I’m still learning how to talk about my own.

I try to maintain an open mind and am a bit of a gamer myself, so I wouldn't mind being friends if you're willing.

Lately, the Metroidvania genre of games, with some of my personal all-time favorites being part of it, including Timespinner (which I finished recently and you'll see a review for in my journal within the next few hours), F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch, and Dust: An Elysian Tail.

Hello! Fellow witch here, and I primarily work with divination and the tarot. I also love creative writing and integrate that into my witchcraft. Feel free to check out my posts to see if we'd mesh ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ

I work the most with the Dreaming Way Tarot, which is based on the Rider-Waite-Smith, and that's my preferred system. But I am foraying into vaguely Thoth-based decks like the Hush Tarot (but not the Crowley-Harris Thoth deck itself).
What about you? What are your tarot preferences? (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Recently I finished a coming-of-age retelling of Andersen's 'The Snow Queen'. Fairy tales make me shiver, I love them so much. And rewriting them puts me in touch with faeries; they're drawn to the energy of art and I feel connected to them at certain moments of writing fiction. It feels like what I write doesn't come entirely from me but something bigger, and I love that feeling!
Thank you for adding me ヽ(^◇^*)/

The Dreaming Way is pretty much the deck I learned tarot with, although it wasn't my first deck. The imagery is culturally ambiguous, which made it easy for me to connect with it. The watercolour artwork is so lucid and intuitive for me. And it has its whimsical moments: the Hanged Man has clothes hangers also hanging out with the person! :D

Brian Froud's Faeries oracle is on my wishlist. I have the Crow Tarot too! I should work with it more.
I've heard a lot about the Deviant Moon, especially the companion book. You seem to like gothic art styles; you might like the Hush Tarot! I call it my nature goth deck.
I also have the Tarot of Vampyres by Ian Daniels and that's my glamour goth deck :D

I loved the Snow Queen; I read the unabridged translation by Patricia Crampton. Her translations are my favourite but I think any unabridged version of Andersen would be impactful. One thing about Andersen I find amusing is that there's Christian discourse in his story but it's also subverted (unwittingly or on purpose, I'm not sure); for example, in his version of the Seven Swans story, the protagonist visits witches and learns how to break the curse on her brothers. Because obviously to break a curse you need magic. She weaves shirts for her brothers using nettles and silence, and everyone wants her to burn at the stake, but when she breaks the curse on her brothers it's all "Well that was nice of her, not all witches are bad" XD.

I live in a tropical country so I don't really work with the wheel of the year, just myself and my own cycles, and my environment.

I'm very drawn to left hand path traditions; I'd love to know more about your own journey with them!

I've been writing since I was a child, but only this year I realised (or decided, I'm not sure) that it was integrated with my witchy practice.

What about you? What do you like to write? ^0^
