(no subject)

NAME: Fao

AGE: 29

PRONOUNS: they/them or fae/faer

INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Digital art, FFXIV, Stardew Valley, true crime, sims 3/4, Homestuck, beading, music in general, obsessing over my original characters, lgbt subjects, feminism.

LOOKING FOR: Mostly I just write about whatever's on my mind day to day. Other adults would be a requirement as I do not censor myself for anything; and as a primarily erotica artist who might consider posting art on my journal occasionally I would prefer to keep that away from them kids. Otherwise, anyone who shares a fandom with me or has interesting thoughts to share is welcome. I like learning about new things.

ANYTHING ELSE?: I'm kind of returning to dreamwidth after a hiatus and most of my contacts are gone... I'd like a more active reading page.

Also if anyone has any suggestions for active communities in general that would be cool. Anything similar to ONTDCreepy?

ALSO KNOWN AS: tacticalTheurgy on AO3 where I mostly write sapphic erotica with my original characters.

I haven't done beading in YEARS! :DD But I remember how much fun that is. ♥ My sister's REALLY INTO true crime. She got me to watch a lot of gory movies "which happened in reality" down in the basement which she transformed into a mini-cinema of sorts. (It is no longer that way at the moment since my family is in the process of transitioning.) Her social network stuff has changed far off from mine, and I don't really know what it is anymore.

My LJ is public while I keep DW reading-list-only.

I remember browsing ONTD years ago. I just checked and found that the last active post on it was from 2016. As far as DW active communities go, I'm actually not sure, I'm not as big of a community person as I used to be.

There's a method to the madness.

Vic takes pride in how she is!

Yeah, I guess it's only a place to reread on a rainy day.

That's OK!

Hello! I'm Pixel. I also like digital art (not too good at it at the moment though), music and I've been playing a crap-ton of Stardew lol. I also often obsess over my original characters too. They've been made into Stardew characters, but haven't got through everyone though. Erotic art/fic is fine with me, I'm 32. Me being adult is questionable at times, though, heh. Feel free to add if you'd like to be friends! I'll add then :D

As far as communities, I only have an active iconing community that I could recommend, I'm still looking for active communities too :( (On top of that, ONTDCreepy definitely sounds like something I'd read often, we also have that in common)

Lol, I'm not even gonna lie, I'd post so much creepy stuff that I find just browsing online (with credit to the originals, of course). Im all for this idea!

Awesome, adding back after I post this.

And wow, that's quite an accomplishment to get all of the community center done in Y1! I'm somewhat close to finishing mine on my character called Green, but I still need 1 more of the quality bundles, some fish and the Level 40+ mine items for the Bulletin Board and Boiler Room. I'm on Y2 in that one. I can't find Red Quartz though! I've been having bad luck there.

Hi! Welcome back. I too used to be on here (different username) and came back, realizing all my former contacts were gone. Feel free to check out my profile and blog and see if it tickles your fancy. :)

Hiya! Here's some communities I like:

[community profile] get_knitted - A crafting community that posts daily check-in posts. It's not just for knitting! Posts get good activity and people love to cheer each other on there. This has become my most used community.

[community profile] justcreate is similar to the above, but is weekly check-in instead of daily, and run by a different person. Also lots of cheering of each other there.

[community profile] agonyaunt critiques letters to advice columnists and the advice given. I have learned a lot from the commenters there!

[community profile] bitesizedcleaning offers check-in and cheering posts to help you keep a clean house.

[community profile] readingtogether hosts generic read alongs, like "everyone, read a book this week!" The comm has seen increased activity of late.

[community profile] awesomeers challenges you to comment with Just One Thing you did today that you're proud of doing. I love the idea of this community and used to comment there quite frequently, but then I discovered [community profile] get_knitted, so. I think I'll try commenting in awesomeers for non-craft stuff again.

If you write fic, then [community profile] genprompt_bingo is fun! Fills don't have to be gen; the name just refers to the prompts themselves.

Also, if you're a fandomy-type person, [community profile] snowflake_challenge runs every January and is a fun "answer questions in your own journal" challenge.

Oh! It's the wrong time of year for this, but [community profile] holiday_wishes runs in the last few months of the year. People post their wishes there and others fill them. Wishes can be tangible items or non-tangible. I really lucked out this year and was spoiled by a lot of the folks in that community. So many holiday cards! ❤

Finally: hiya! I'm also a FFXIV player! Have played Stardew Valley as well. I post a lot in my journal, mostly every day life stuff (sometimes I worry I post TOO much but I have always felt that my journal is for me and anyone who wants to read/comment is a nice bonus). Feel free to add me if you'd like, and I'll add back.

Oh hey we're both in Crystal! I have two characters I play about equally, Althea Valara on Coeurl and Windy Storm on Goblin. I also have a languishing catboy on Brynhildr, his name is Eirian Ari.

Windy is my main character now, and has finished Endwalker. Althea is streaming Endwalker now, and will be hitting the last zone on my next stream on Thursday. Poor Eirian is still stuck in the post-ARR MSQ, but I do log in to him for the seasonal events.

Here's my stream!

https://twitch.tv/altheavalara

I stream Monday, Thursday, Saturday from 7:30pm to about 10:30pm Central. I'm a tiny streamer, it's usually just me and a Twitter acquaintance, but he's been tuning in consistently for months and I'm so grateful. I stream from my PlayStation 4 so voice only, but it works for me!

I am not sure what I'm going to do once we finish Endwalker. I know there's still plenty of content I can do in FFXIV but I think Endwalker burned me out on new content. I've been reluctant to try the two bonus 90 dungeons let alone do the raid. I'll get to them eventually but yeah, I think I need a break...

So my tentative plans right now are to continue streaming XIV on Saturdays, doing side quests and random other shenanigans, and then perhaps start a single player game the other two days. I definitely want to continue streaming because I do enjoy it! I don't think my steady viewer has played Final Fantasy XV yet, so that's what I'm leaning towards. It'd be a replay for me but (a) I really like the game, warts and all, (b) I'm most comfortable right now streaming stuff I have experience with.
