addme | Gamer/Anime fan looking for friends

Hello! I'm Lea, or GQ, and I'm looking for more people to follow and chat with about shared interests.

I'm in my 30s and sometimes post about adult material so expect people who interact with my journal to be 18+.

I'm a big gamer and like trying new games and thinking about what makes them good or bad. I have a sideblog where I play narrative games (mostly VNs but not always) and review them at playingstory . I've been going through all the VNs for the itch.io BLM bundle and am halfway through so far. On my main blog I also like talking about other games I'm playing that aren't so focused no narrative mechanics. I play a lot of Overwatch and am into the OWL, and I'm currently working through the Dishonored DLCs. I'm a patient gamer so a lot of the games I try out are 10 or more years old. I enjoyed the Dragon Age games, am a big Super Giant Games fan, think Banner Saga is deeply underrated, and also like more chill puzzle and flash games. (RIP Flash)

I've been studying Japanese for many years (on and off though so I'm still bad) and just recently started really watching a lot of anime again. The shows I've enjoyed most recently are Chiharafuru, Haikyuu, and Demon Slayers. I also like dramas, both TV and audio.

I'm starting to learn Russian so I might start complaining about how hard that is in the future too. I'm also always up for language exchange for anyone interested in working on their English!

I used to be a vociferous reader but like many people I think smartphones and more sophisticated web 2.0 attention traps has changed that, but I'm trying to get back into it. I say this every year though, soo..

Fandom wise I tend to lean heavily towards M/M content. I like gen stuff too but pretty much all my shippy posting will be M/M. My favorite ships are Arthur/Cobb (Inception), Cassidy/Reyes (Overwatch), and Harry/Kim or Harry/Jean (Disco Elysium). That said I don't post too often about ships.

I keep my fandom life and my personal life separate, so I don't comment much at all on the latter, except for when it has some relevance to fandom stuff. I don't expect the same of mutuals, but I also don't often comment on personal issues of others either if that is mostly what you post. I'm mostly looking for people who like talking about what they're reading, watching, or playing, be it the good or the bad. Because I don't post personal stuff my journal is mostly public so feel free to check it out and see if I'm someone you might want to chat with!
