HI EVERYBODY!
So a bit about me..
My name is Rita. I'm 33 and I'm an American living in Australia. I have a pet cat named Jake.
I'm new to dreamwidth, I used to keep a Livejournal in the early 2000s. I'll probably be mainly posting journal entries about my life and activities, simpsons memes and quotes, pics, recipes, whatever!
I am literally obsessed with food and cooking. I don't currently work as a chef but I have in the past. I love cooking for me and my partner so I'll probably be posting some food pics (and recipes on request!). I'm also into crafting cocktails as well and I like to make my own syrups and infused spirits, all kinds of fun stuff. Beer is my drink of choice, especially local craft beer. I also smoke weed recreationally and grow my own so if that bothers you then you might not want to add me.
As far as other hobbies go I'm a bit of a fitness freak, I run, swim, lift weights, circuit train, hike, and bike. I'm also a scuba divemaster(basically an assistant instructo/dive guide), I love being underwater whether it be scuba, freediving or snorkelling. I also own a 90s Jeep(Starla, fire engine red) that is pretty much the love of my life and I do all the work on her myself. She's kind of a shitbox but only I am allowed to say so. No one talks shit about Starla! I also like sewing, diy stuff, making hair extensions/hair pieces, makeup and beauty, and hair diy. And thrift shops. Salvation army is my jam. I always say I have too many hobbies and not enough time to do them.
Shows I like: simpsons, futurama, bobs burgers, venture bros, curb your enthusiasm, always sunny in Philadelphia, trailer park boys, star trek (og, tng, ds9, Lower decks), cheers, degrassi, riverdale, 80s and 90s sitcoms
Music: mostly rock, hard rock, punk and heavy metal. But I'm also into 80s pop like Prince and Madonna, blues,soul,all kinds of stuff. I have a small record collection and I also collect tapes (to play in Starl as tape deck)

My jeep is an automatic. They are kind of rare here so it is what it is haha
