HOBBIES: the usual, like playing video games, watching stuff on the boob tube, reading anything i can get my hands on, hiking, etc. other assorted grandmacore nonsense like drawing, knitting, baking, and gardening. i was getting into herding but then covid happened T__T

LOOKING FOR: folks to interact with and befriend. i’ve actually been on this website since 2011 and have made a handful of good friends, so that’s a trend i’d like to continue if at all possible. despite the list above, i’m not active in fandom these days, so i’m not looking for journals strictly centered around it.

omg you sound like you’re living my dream life. i want to relocate to the country or the woods or something SO BAD, but i gotta save up some money if i wanna do that. T___T

Oh, but you’ve done herding which is awesome! I eventually aspire to have a small flock of sheep (meat and wool, maybe for cheese, and to keep the pasture from overgrowing), but I want to settle on our property for a couple of years first. I kind of don’t really want a dog (I like dogs, but they tend to scare off the wildlife and why would I live in the forest if I didn’t want to see the wildlife?), but everyone basically says it’s required if you have a house in the country for security if nothing else and the Mr is keen to have a dog so maybe a herding dog will be in our future XD

ooo, if you’re concerned about future pups scaring away wildlife, you guys should look into maremma sheepdogs! there’s a group of them that have been trained to protect wild penguins from invasive species, so i’d imagine they could be trained to recognize animals that pose a threat to the flock versus critters that are just passing through.
