Erin

NAME: Erin

AGE: 32

INTERESTS & HOBBIES: I love sci-fi and fantasy -- space and aliens are my first love. I have a degree in medieval history, but I rarely post about it. I may change that depending on how many readers I have and how I connect with them.

LOOKING FOR: I write the most about my mental illnesses right now, so I'm looking for people who either can relate or will be understanding of it. I have a mild (to me) eating disorder, ADHD, depression and anxiety. I also have chronic illness, a heart condition, that sort of feeds into all of that, so I'm trying to find a way to process it. I come to this journal these days when I'm especially frustrated or hurting, so my current entries aren't in a good headspace, but I would like to change that and want to write about how I begin dealing with this all in therapy.

ANYTHING ELSE?: No, not really!

ALSO KNOWN AS: [journalsite.com profile] USERNAME None that I feel like sharing!

I use Dreamwidth to process, and I find a community of readers helpful. May I friend you?

Space and aliens was my first love too! I still remember my first favourite picture book, long before I learned to read, was one with illustrations about space and planets. At 33, I still get choked up and starry eyed thinking about the universe.

I too struggle with depression and anxiety, so I sometimes talk about that. I also blog about what goes on in my life. Mutuals?

Omg saaame! When I was a wee thing I wanted to work at NASA, then I found out that those are scientists and math and physics are kind of important. xD

hello! I definitely relate, as I also have ADHD, along with anxiety and depression. I write weekly about anything notable that happens in my life, and what I've accomplished in the MMO I play, Old School RuneScape.
friends?

Hi there! I can definitely relate. I've struggled with an eating disorder in the past, and have other problems with mental illness which is something I write about in my journal. I tend to write about every day stuff, plus nattering about video games and crafts (I knit & crochet). If that sounds good, feel free to add me and I'll add you back.

No eating disorder, but I do have the "trifecta" of ADD/ADHD (whatever they called it when I was a kid...)/anxiety/depression/PTSD.

I have a top post, but once you read that, do we sound compatible?

32 and dealing with chronic kidney failure here. Check out my journal and message or add me and I'll be sure to add back.

I hope your f-request post proves remarkably fruitful :-)

Oh it is not all that bad. I write about the experience (and many other things) on my journal. Glad you have you as a friend around here and I look forward to what you write.

I have a little explanation post on my journal, feel free to take a look and use it as a guide if you like.

Oh man, sci-fi is my jam! Have you read Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials? I'm still working on a review/discussion for it (that I'm sure will be to long xD).

Entirely fictional! Talks about aliens from popular novels/short stories. Fascinating seeing what so many sci-fi creators come up with!

A nonfiction one would be really neat tho... will have to dig around for one o:

I adore SFF and medieval history! Androids and elves, rather than aliens, are my first love, but same difference. :)

And I am always up for hearing about health challenges (have a history of not awesome mental health myself).

Hi there! I'm 35, like sci-fi and have a Masters in History. I've also suffered my fair share of mental illness, so I hope I can relate on that score. I've added you, so you can see my posts - please feel free to add me back. :)
