LOOKING FOR: A place away from Facebook, and the feeling I used to get from reading LJ back in the mid-2000s.

ANYTHING ELSE?: My public posts tend to be innocuous -- food, games, books, and matters of public knowledge. My private posts will talk about work (IT/computers), life, family (wife & child) as well. Despite (or perhaps because of?) growing up on a farm, I am an urban city dweller.

You sound interesting. I'm a cumpulsive reader, love board games, and music (though I'm more of a bebop and power rock person. Current bands are people like St. Vincent, Muse, Hot Chip, Four Tet...). I'm adding, ok?

Sure, though I've never gotten into bebop; I think it's all the flattened fifths that just don't work for me. Power rock sounds interesting, I'll check out the bands on youtube later; I've at least heard of St. Vincent and Muse.

Some bands I'm into right now are Elephant Tree, Colour Haze, and King Buffalo.

I do miss the feeling of Lj pre-facebook as well. :/ I kind of miss the entire internet days of early 2000. Just being behind a computer seemd fun.
